💚 Every Child Matters.

At Food for the Hungry Haiti, we do more than work, we invest our hearts and souls alongside the communities we serve. 🤝

Our work is, above all, relationship-centered. We take the time to listen, support, and walk alongside every family and every child. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Because we firmly believe that every person, especially every child, is created by God with infinite worth, dignity, and potential. ✨🙏

It is this conviction that inspires us to give our very best, every day, in the communities we serve. ❤️

Together, we are transforming lives. 🌱

💰🌱 Change starts with one bold belief: a better future is possible.

At Food for the Hungry Haiti, Savings Groups aren't just saving money, they're rewriting futures. Across Kenscoff and Belladère, thousands of families are building resilience, unlocking opportunity, and proving that real change grows from within. 🌍✨

📍 Kenscoff (BLM)18 active savings groups. 1,065+ members. One shared mission. 🤝 Meeting twice a month, these groups mobilize 60,000 - 72,500 gourdes every two weeks, funding loans for members at every gathering. The result? Nearly 25,920,000 gourdes circulating through their communities in just one year. 🔥

👩‍🌾 And the impact is real: 60% of members are launching food businesses, raising livestock, selling crops, paying their kids' school fees, and even building their own homes. Progress you can see. 💪

📍 Belladère45 savings groups. 2,003 members. Unstoppable momentum. 🚀 From Batis to Bois Caïman, Las Aguas to Croix Fer, communities are taking ownership of their growth. As of May, these groups hold 37,686,375 gourdes, fueling shares, loans, and local dreams.

💡 In every community, savings groups are the engine driving change forward.
Because when a family rises, a community rises with it. And when a community rises, we build a future of opportunity, resilience, and hope, together.🌱

👉 This is what transformation looks like.

In October 2024, amid the large-scale deportation of Haitians from the Dominican Republic, hundreds of vulnerable families arrived in Belladère with little or no resources and urgent humanitarian needs. In close coordination with the Directorate of Civil Protection, municipal authorities, and the Communal Civil Protection Committee, Food for the Hunger Haiti supported the reception, storage, coordination, and distribution of humanitarian assistance to affected households.
Through rapid community mobilization and coordinated humanitarian action, vulnerable families received essential support, particularly emergency food assistance, during a period of significant uncertainty and distress. Food for the Hungry Haiti worked alongside local authorities and community actors to help ensure an organized, dignified, and timely response at the border.
This intervention reinforced local humanitarian coordination mechanisms and demonstrated Food for the Hungry Haiti’s operational capacity to support emergency response efforts in complex and fragile contexts. Through collaborative action and community engagement, the response contributed to strengthening protection, resilience, and immediate humanitarian assistance for displaced and vulnerable populations.

In Mahotières, within the municipality of Kenscoff, community transformation begins through local leadership and collective engagement.
Through the Care Group approach, Food for the Hungry Haiti continues strengthening women-led community support systems by training groups of women committed to promoting well-being and positive behavioral practices within their communities.
Each Care Group is composed of 10 women selected by the community, and each participant subsequently supports and mentors 10 additional women through awareness sessions, peer learning, and community-based knowledge sharing.
In April 2026, a training session organized in Mahotières focused on conflict management, community well-being, hygiene practices, crisis management, and basic listening skills. These community dialogue spaces strengthened solidarity, encouraged peaceful coexistence, and reinforced positive community engagement among participating families.
Investing in women’s leadership contributes to stronger resilience, improved social cohesion, and sustainable community development across Haiti.

In Kenscoff, within the community of Derrière-Savane, Tasie’s journey reflects the strength of resilience and the impact of long-term community support.
Tasie has been a single mother for more than 10 years and, as a result, has faced daily food insecurity while struggling to provide education and stability for her four children. Through support from Food for the Hungry Haiti, including agricultural training, seed distribution, and livestock support (particularly goat-raising activities that later contributed to the expansion of her animal production), she progressively strengthened her agricultural activities and expanded her livelihood opportunities.
Today, Tasie is raising cows, investing in her farm, feeding her family with dignity, and ensuring her children can attend school with hope for a better future.
Every training session, every seed distributed, and every opportunity created contributes to strengthening resilient households and sustainable community development across Haiti.

…………………………………………………….
