This Social Work Week, we are filled with deep gratitude and pride for the work of the Little Footprints team! Often it is the determination and passion of our social workers and other team members that allows us to accomplish what seems impossible!

There are families we would not have been able to locate if it wasn’t for the perserverence of our team.

In these photos, you can see how our Social Workers accomplish lifechanging work while adapting themselves to the situation of each family we work with. Their humility, adaptability, professionalism and competency all come together to bring families together and create lasting change despite challenging circumstances.

This week and throughout the entire year, we are so grateful for all social workers truly fighting to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

For a durable impact that strengthens family bonds, organizations should seek to reinforce parents - not replace them.

This is what Little Footprints seeks to do through our Income Generating Activities program. Business start up is one of the most popular streams within this program, and here our team is seen visiting an inspiration participant of the program.

This mother of a former street child was so motivated to improve her family’s situation long-term that she started a small business even before being formally integrated into our program, using part of a food kit! Once she did become a participant in this program, she blew us away by tripling the value of her small business in just a few months. This is a mother who is eager to offer her children stability. This is where we can have a sustainable and exponential impact for an entire family. Thank you for being a part of this positive change!

Pou yon enpak ki dirab e ki ranfose lyen fanmilyal yo, oganizasyon yo dwe ranfose paran yo - yo pa dwe ranplase yo.

Se Egzakteman sa LFBS ap chache fe ak pwogram nou a pou ranfose mwayen ekonomik fanmi yo. Fe komes se yon nan branch yo andan pwogram sa ki pi popile, e nan imaj sa yo nou we kote ekip nou ap vizite yon nan patisipan yo nan pwogram sa ki se yon enspirasyon pou nou.

Se Manman yon ansyen timoun lari ki te telman motive pou li amelyore sityasyon fanmi li… menm le li potko entegre nan pwogram lan, li te komanse yon ti komes ak yon pati de yon kit manje li te resevwa. Le li fin entegre nan pwogram lan , nan kelke mwa li te gentan triple vale biznis li, telman li te motive. Sa se yon Manman ki swaf ofri fanmi li yon stabilite. Sa se kote nou ka kreye yon enpak dirab pou tout yon fanmi! Mesi a nou chak ki patisipe nan chanjman pozitiv sa.

This March 8th - and every day - we stand alongside women and girls of all ages, nationalities, beliefs and backgrounds.

Little Footprints is a proud partner of Haiti’s Ministry of Women’s Rights (MCFDF). We’ve collaborated on several initiatives to advocate for women’s and girls’ voices to be heard and for their rights to be respected. In this video, our Program Coordinator spoke at an event coordinated by MCFDF to highlight the connection between women’s wellbeing and healthy families - and thereby, healthy children.

Women’s rights and wellbeing have a significant impact on those of children. Empowering and supporting mothers can often help ensure children are protected and better cared for!
