Congratulations to Mayor Elwide Romain !
Who is Elwide Romain?
Here is a little story about the experience she had with us through our Transformational Leadership and Community Engagement Training Program.
Elwide is the mother of two beautiful children and has an amazing husband who has always supported her. She is a lawyer by profession, an entrepreneur, and the CEO of FANM OZE Organization.
After spending many years studying law, she felt called to advocate for the voiceless and for women who have been victims of abuse and injustice. She realized that the best way to make a greater impact was through community involvement and outreach work. To achieve this mission, she understood that she needed high-level leadership training.
At the beginning of 2025, Elwide joined our Leadership and Community Engagement Program and spent around six months in training. Her goal was to become a strong and servant-hearted leader for life. During the program, she focused on self-esteem, personal development, emotional intelligence, understanding healthy boundaries, and becoming the leader she was called to be.
At the end of June 2025, she graduated from our program, and today she serves as one of the mayors of Léogâne City. She never stops reflecting on the positive impact this training has had on her life and leadership journey.
Today, our Education Department congratulates you, Elwide Romain, on this new role. We are proud of you and encourage you to continue the excellent work alongside your team.

Li te reyalize ke pi bon fason pou gen yon pi gwo enpak se atravè patisipasyon kominotè ak travay sansibilizasyon. Pou li te kapab reyalize misyon sa a, li te konprann li te bezwen yon fòmasyon de kalite sou Lidèchip.
Nan kòmansman ane 2025, Elwide te antre nan Pwogram Lidèchip ak Angajman Kominotè nou ofri nan Vi-Espwa epi l te pase anviwon sis (6) mwa ap resevwa fòmasyon. Objektif li se te vin yon lidè solid ak yon kè pou sèvi pandan tout lavi li. Pandan pwogram nan, li te konsantre sou estim pwòp tèt li, devlopman pèsonèl, entèlijans emosyonèl, konprann limit ki an sante, epi devni lidè ke l te swete a.
Nan fen mwa jen 2025, li te gradye nan pwogram nou an, epi jodi a li sèvi kòm youn nan majistra Vil Leyogàn. Li pa janm sispann reflechi sou enpak pozitif fòmasyon sa a genyen sou lavi li ak sou chemen lidèchip li.
