Our 8th annual Haiti Holiday Marketplace is just a couple days away! We have so many new and amazing vendors who are going to be there, we can hardly wait!! Over the next few days, we will be sharing some of the work of the artisans for you to see and be excited about. If you are in the Eugene area, make sure you have this on your calendar for this Saturday from 10am - 5pm!

Giving Tuesday was quieter than we expected this year for Zel Haiti and our Women's Empowerment group. The world is extra heavy right now. There's hurt and need in our backyards and a million miles away. It all feels too heavy to hold sometimes, so we are honestly not shocked that we didn't bring in as much as we had hoped for Giving Tuesday. We are so grateful for the three that donated towards our giving tree. That money will cover a couple months of birthday parties for our staff (a tremendous morale boost) or a few months' worth of our coffee bill. These things may seem minor or insignificant, but when it feels like you are working so hard to make sure you wake up each day while your country is upside down, these keep us going. So thank you!! The day has finally come - we need your help decorating this Christmas tree for Giving Tuesday! You can “purchase” one item or many through a donation via PayPal to [email protected] or Venmo with a note saying what items you’d like purchased. Once every few hours, we will post an updated image on our Facebook account so you can see our progress. All donations are tax deductible. Ready, set, GIVE!

We are officially only one week away from Giving Tuesday! If you’ve been around for a bit, you’ll remember that we did a giving tree a couple years ago for giving Tuesday. We are doing it again this year! I hope you’ve got your calendars marked and you save some money from your Black Friday spending to give on Giving Tuesday!

Today is National Education Day! Our hearts hurt for the millions of Haitian children who have yet to start school this year. As Haiti continues to push it's way through chaos, we continue to pray for a solution and a reprieve for her people.

It's today! Some of the best coffee in the world is grown in Haiti (we might be slightly biased...) - but it's your lucky day! We sell Avanti coffee, which is locally and organically grown in Haiti. You can purchase your very own Haitian coffee, right on our website! What a better way to celebrate National Coffee Day?!
