From Hinche and beyond, our wish is to not only equip but empower students with the tools they need to live a life they can be proud of.
The second term is underway this year and we couldn’t be happier to have upwards of 200 students in our EFL program. Many students need help with tuition, and books are of the highest priority. Our school wishes to purchase 800 copies of 770 Step Forward ESL Oxford University Press for the upcoming terms.
Why 800? Because of the displacement of many people, Hinche has become a place of refuge and subsequently, our school has influxes of students term to term. This means that we have had to turn away students when supplies were not available.
To make the situation a bit more complicated, we are unable to buy through the city of Port au Prince due to the gangs taking control and affecting our supplier. Unfortunately, we lost our deposit last year and so we have decided to purchase through a store based in Miami.
