Kathy's Adventures

Kathy's Adventures My God inspired leap of faith. I have served in Honduras since 2014 as the Director of Schools of Hope. Check out our website www.schoolsofhopehonduras.org

I am a global worker with the PAOC and love the people and nation of Honduras. In January 2014 I was given the opportunity to work with Schools of Hope, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I had the opportunity to see God at work in the children and schools where Schools of Hope ministers. Through evangelism in public schools, feeding programs and childcare sponsorships, I clearly saw what Jesus meant by be

ing ‘his hands and feet’ in such a practical way. While there God clearly spoke to me that this was the city where He wanted me to serve. In November 2014 I left Canada and moved to Honduras to become the administrator of Schools of Hope and in January 2016 I became the Director of the ministry. Schools of Hope partners with over 40 local public schools sharing the gospel, provides sponsorship to over 300+ children through ChildCARE Plus. Feeds preschool and kinder children breakfast each day, and partners with 4 different communities providing access to safe, clean drinking water.

Through evangelism in public schools, feeding programs and childcare sponsorships, I clearly saw what Jesus meant by being ‘his hands and feet’ in such a practical way. Schools of Hope partners with 15 public schools in our school district, sharing the gospel with children. More than 240 children are sponsored through ChildCARE Plus sponsorships. We partner with 2 communities installing biosand water filters in homes providing safe, clean drinking water to more than 3,000 people.
