Six days ago, a gentleman started his three day journey from a remote area of mainland Honduras over to Roatan. His goal was to trust his vision to Americans he did not know. Today, he begins that very long and difficult three day journey back to his home. His vision was so poor he could barely see a hand waving coming over. Going back, he will enjoy the beauty of God‘s handiwork. God is truly good, and this gentleman was truly thankful.

Our last spring team for 2026 will be in clinic April 13-16. There will be a few months' break, then our fall teams will continue the care there.
God is truly blessing our ministry in Honduras. The need remains great on Roatan, nearby Bay islands, and the mainland. Clients travel many miles in search of needed eye care. If you would like to be a part of what He is doing there, please consider supporting us. Finances and prayers keep the teams going and serving.

What happens when you put one ophthalmologist, one nurse practitioner, and four seasoned volunteers together in an eye clinic in Roatan for several days? Supported by 2 Honduran staff, they offer services to 73 people, and leave with smiles on their faces! Thank you to Dr Solverson and team!!! Great job!

Have you ever wondered why people choose to donate their eyes? Health in Sight would like to extend our deepest gratitude to donors, the eye bank, and Dr. Ingraham for provision of corneal tissue. Thanks to those donations, five patients received corneal transplants this week for clearer vision. People helping people. 🙏🏻💕

We could not do what we do without our Honduran support friends. From the many who help to feed and serve us, to the faithful women who pray with our patients in the clinic, we thank you. 
This week, our receptionist took a moment to enter the operating room. As she watched, tears streamed down her face in thanksgiving for the services provided to her dear friends and family on the island.  All serving the same God across borders.
