It represents a way of life. 什麼是 M a g i s ?

現今社會追求速度與寬度，一切變得愈來愈平面單薄。各地政府紛紛致力增加貨幣供應去打擊他國競爭力，以致各國内部經濟被推致泡沫的同時，人命的價值彷彿已被量化為一堆數字，世界亦變得血肉模糊，而住在社會底層的勞苦大眾，因為被漠視而只能相濡以沫。然而，基層民眾的苦難往往能為社會帶來預示。一個社會是否美好，並不取決於那些彎腰勞動的人是否過著艱難的生活，而是當權者和擁有充裕資源的人，怎樣去看待他們。世界上每一個地方都存在著各樣的問題和不公義，但一個社會之所以能夠改變，並不能只靠一群人下了許多工夫，而是要靠我們每一個人嘗試去成為這些問題的答案。

什麼是 M a g i s ？這是代表「更多」、「更好」的拉丁語，是一種標誌著謙卑和渺小、為別人服務的態度，亦代表著我們致力令社會變得更好而踏出的每一小步。因此，M a g

i s 並不只是一個以畫作做公益的網頁，更是一個生活方向。

What is M a g i s ? It is important how a community values the poor and those in need, because those are most often the people who have the ability to bring out the beauty and strength of a community, just as the famous song-writer Sydney Carter expressed in one of his songs – by the hungry we will be fed, by the poor we will be made rich, and by the broken we will be mended. M a g i s is therefore more than a platform for selling paintings for charity. It represents a way of life, an aspiration to do more for others, to build a better tomorrow for every one of us, together as a community.

本網頁運作方式：

版主會不時把原創畫作放上此網頁出售，但版主並不會收取貨款或任何費用，一切貨款由買家直接捐贈予選定的慈善組織。買家必須同意並遵守下列售賣條款以完成購買程序：

A. 定價作品

1. 畫作被放上此網頁出售時，會標示定價。

2. 任何人士如欲購買該畫作可透過留言或本網頁的Facebook Messenger以私訊向版主作出表示，並同時表示所選擇的慈善組織（見下列第4點），而相關畫作將以「先到先得」方式出售。版主保留確定成功買家身份之最終決定權。

3. 版主將通知成功買家。

4. 獲得通知後，買家需向已選定之列於本網頁的介紹部份的其中一個慈善組織作出與出價金額相同的捐獻（或作出與出價金額相同價值的消費）。

5. 版主保留更改上述慈善組織列表的絕對酎情權並會作出公佈。

6. 完成捐獻後，買家需向版主出示相關機構發出的正式收據以提取畫作。

7. 提取畫作之時間與地點將由雙方透過本網頁以私訊方式作出安排。畫作不會透過郵寄/郵遞方式送達。

8. 除非買家提出要求，版主不會公開買家的名字或身份。


How this page works:

The page administrator shall be offering original paintings for sale from time to time by publishing posts on this page. However, the page administrator will not be receiving any sale proceeds or fees, and all sales of paintings must be completed in accordance with the following conditions:

A. For paintings with set prices

1. A price will be set by the page administrator upon offering the relevant painting by publishing a post herein.

2. Anyone interested in purchasing the painting shall indicate his or her interest in the comments section or through private message in Facebook Messenger available on the page. The sale will be completed on a “first-come-first-serve” basis and the person indicating his or her interest earliest in time shall be entitled to the relevant paining. In this regard, the page administrator's decision as to the identity of the successful candidate shall be final.

3. The successful candidate will be notified accordingly.

4. Upon being notified, the successful candidate shall proceed to make a donation (or make a purchase as the case may be) in the same amount of his or her offered price to one of the charitable organisations as listed out in the “About” section of this page, as earlier selected by him or her.

5. The list of charitable organisations may be subject to changes from time to time at the sole discretion of the page administrator, and such changes will be publicly announced on this page.

6. After making a donation or purchase as aforesaid, the purchaser may then collect the relevant painting upon production of the original official receipt issued by the relevant organisation.

7. The collection point and date and time of collection of the relevant painting will be as advised or mutually agreed through private message. No requests for delivery by post will be entertained.

8. The identity of each purchaser will not be published unless a specific request is made in person.
