May marks *Breast Cancer Survivor Month 乳癌康復月*. Serving as the closing event of our *Empower the Journey project in collaboration with the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation, the *Day Camp for a Brighter Life 亮麗人生半日營* concluded successfully on May 16.

Ten Zontians, together with Dr Diana Chan and Teresa Chan, facilitated engaging interactive sessions covering core routine health check knowledge and rehabilitative posture correction exercises, which were overwhelmingly well-received by 60 attending breast cancer survivors.💖

Subsequent to these sessions, participants joined a therapeutic lamp-making workshop. These handcrafted lamps symbolically light up the survivors’ life journeys and spread warmth to everyone around them.

Through these hands-on workshops and heartfelt sharing sessions, our project has built a solid, compassionate support system that fully caters to survivors’ psychological well-being, health literacy and social integration needs. This meaningful event not only delivered professional health guidance and sincere emotional comfort to survivors, but also underscored the far-reaching social impact of our cause. It further advocates sustained care and long-term companionship to walk alongside breast cancer survivors throughout their recovery journey. ✨💕

Our A2A Closing Ceremony was successfully held on April 11 (Sat) at TWGHs TungPo.

It was truly heartening to witness the women survivors overcome their trauma and grow over the past two years. Through four videos, we saw their journey of healing and resilience unfold: Ceasing Pain (紙箱.止傷), Repair and Recovery (修補.療癒), Bitterness Fades, Sweetness Returns (苦盡.回甘), and Journey Together (側寫.同行).

The closing ceremony concluded with The Circle of Power (轉化之圓), a circular flower garden symbolizing the transformative power within each participant. Our Zontians, women of CEASE Crisis Center and all participants came together to contribute their strength, symbolically “planting” a three-dimensional circular artwork with sunflowers and hyacinths. Sunflowers represented power, strength, and hope, while hyacinths symbolized recovery and rebirth. The exhibition of artworks and creations by the women survivors also served as a powerful reminder of the hardships they had endured and their gradual return to peace.

Healing is a long process; A2A closing is merely one chapter. We look forward to continuing to support these women in the years to come! ❤️🩷

In Loving Memory of Mrs. Judy Kant Young
1940 - 2026

It is with profound gratitude and heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our beloved founding member, Judy Young.

As one of the three pioneering founders of Zonta Club of Hong Kong, Judy brought the Zonta spirit to our city. With remarkable grace and selflessness, she jointly laid the foundation for our Club's success and touched countless lives through her compassion. She was truly a remarkable person with a heart of gold.

We are forever grateful for her vision, guidance, and the legacy of love she leaves behind. The Zonta Clubs in Hong Kong stand today because of her initiation.

Rest in peace, dear Judy. You will be deeply missed but forever remembered as the pioneer of Zonta spirit in Hong Kong.

Our heartfelt condolences to her loving daughters Merlin, Maggie, Michelle and the entire family.

Memories of Judy from our General Meeting, our Fund Raising Dinner in 2012, and a cheerful Judy in December 2025 when Josephine Chang visited her.

Reflecting on a Night of “Glitter and Glow” this International Women’s Day ✨

Happy International Women’s Day! 🌍💜

As we celebrate the strength and resilience of women everywhere, we are filled with pride looking back at our Zonta Club of Hong Kong 2026 Fundraising Gala, held on March 2nd. Under the brilliant leadership of our President, Shirley Chan, and the dazzling “Glitter and Glow” theme, we came together to prove that when women unite, we create a beacon of hope for others.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, supporters, and friends, we raised vital funds to empower women and girls right here in Hong Kong. From advocacy initiatives like climate awareness and free coding classes for underprivileged children, to direct service projects supporting breast cancer fighters and crisis centers—your support fuels it all. 🤝

A huge thank you to our Fundraising Committee chaired by Helena Koo, Joyce Tam, and June Wong, and to everyone who contributed to this unforgettable evening. Your glow is lighting the path toward a more equal future.

Today, as the world celebrates the strength of women, we are proud to say: The work continues. Let’s shine on, together. 💫
