【DX設計館】連結設計｜《設計無間》

設計如何塑造我們的生活？

《設計無間》展覽以「橋樑」為靈感，今次策展人黃宣游@westleyw將帶領觀眾跳出單純以視覺欣賞設計的框架，透過視覺、觸覺、聽覺及嗅覺等多重感官體驗，重新思考設計如何悄悄滲透日常，塑造我們的生活。

🖨️ 3D打印層紋成為美學語言
Noodo Lab 創辦人徐昊然將 3D打印過程中留下的層紋轉化成作品獨有的視覺語言，在工藝、美學與可持續設計之間建立新的連結。

🏛️ 用水泥保存香港集體回憶
無瑣事事事務所 .official 的 岑嘉俊及李孝恩，運用香港建築常見的物料「水泥」，將逐漸消逝的香港建築製作成微縮模型。

🔎 渠蓋藏着的設計故事
Concretology 創辦人錢子略則將日常最容易被忽略的街道設施帶進展覽，讓觀眾可以近距離觀察細節，重新認識這些默默存在於生活之中的設計。

【DX design hub】Connect Design | Design to Bridge

How Does Design Shape Our Everyday Lives?

Inspired by the concept of a bridge, the ‘Design to Bridge’ exhibition invites visitors to move beyond viewing design solely through sight. Curated by Westley Wong (), the exhibition offers a multi-sensory journey that engages sight, touch, sound, and smell, encouraging audiences to rethink how design quietly permeates everyday life and shapes the way we live.

🖨️ When 3D Printing Layers Become an Aesthetic Language
Tony Tsui of Noodo Lab transforms the unavoidable layer lines of 3D printing into a distinctive visual feature. By embracing rather than concealing these marks, his work creates a unique dialogue between craftsmanship, aesthetics and sustainable design.

🏛️ Preserving Hong Kong’s Collective Memory Through Concrete
Tom Shum and Andrew Lee of MOSOSISI use concrete, one of Hong Kong’s most familiar building materials, to recreate miniature versions of the city’s disappearing architecture. Their works offer younger generations an opportunity to rediscover Hong Kong’s architectural heritage and urban memories.

🔎 The Design Stories Hidden Beneath Our Feet
Javis Chin of Concretology brings one of the city's most overlooked urban objects into the spotlight. Through highly detailed recreations of Hong Kong’s iconic manhole covers, visitors are invited to examine their intricate craftsmanship and gain a new appreciation for the everyday designs that shape our environment.

DFA Awards 2026 proudly honours five distinguished individuals whose visionary work and enduring influence have shaped the design landscape across Asia and beyond.

Through their achievements in design, leadership and innovation, they have redefined possibilities, transformed industries and inspired generations of creative talent worldwide. As pioneers in their respective fields, they have championed new ideas, advanced professional standards and demonstrated how design can create lasting cultural, social and economic impact on a global scale.

DX設計館最新展覽《設計無間》，以毗鄰的西九龍走廊為靈感，以視覺、聽覺、嗅覺及觸覺等多感官裝置，打開城市的感官記憶。設計是一座跨越的橋，連結著人、生活、過去與未來。

【DX design hub】 Connect Design | Reawakening Urban Memory

As familiar streetscapes fade, design preserves the warmth of Hong Kong while bridging into new horizons of sensation.

'Design to Bridge,' a recent exhibition at DX design hub, drew inspiration from the neighbouring West Kowloon Corridor to create an immersive, multi-sensory experience. Through sight, sound, scent, and touch, visitors are invited to rediscover the city's sensory memories. More than a creative medium, design serves as a bridge connecting people, communities, the past and the future.

👁️ Tactile Urban Soul
Concretology, MOSOSISI, and Noodo Lab repurpose everyday waste through refined cement craftsmanship, preserving fading street symbols while exploring sustainable aesthetic possibilities.

👂 Auditory Urban Emotion
Xiangyun Audio employs acoustic engineering to echo the city's subtle emotions.

👃 Olfactory Local Memory
Bringing together BeCandle, Hong Kong Incense Company, and Xuelei Fragrance Museum, this collaboration translates the collective memories of Hong Kong across different eras into contemporary fragrances, using scent to reconnect visitors with the city's evolving stories.

Urban memories are not confined to photographs. Step into DX design hub, awaken your senses, and journey along a bridge that connects the past and the future to explore what ‘Great design’ truly means.

The reimagined DESIGN@HKG 2026 is officially launched! Officiated by Miss Drew Lai, Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries, and Mr Steve Leung, BBS, Chairman of HKDC, alongside over a hundred partners and media guests, we officially unveiled the reimagined DESIGN@HKG 2026 (formerly BODW in the City)!

Taking place from 10–24 November 2026, DESIGN@HKG will feature over 40 cross-disciplinary design activations—from landmark installations and exhibitions to vibrant pop-up experiences—transforming public spaces, streets, and local shops across Hong Kong.

【DX設計館】觸動設計 | 「巨喵」藏著小心思！伸個懶腰～陪你細味社區故事

好設計就在深水埗，這裡向來是布藝與手作材料的寶庫，亦有超過 400 隻「貓店長」於社區小店之中。

香港設計中心與本地藝術團體 Art Dreamers .hk 聯手策劃《喵遊記—以貓連城 布繫社區》展覽，將貓貓和布藝結合起來——先以 3D 打印製作巨型貓咪，再在牠身上貼滿從深水埗小店搜羅回來的布料、衣服鈕扣和拉鏈。

🤔 為什麼造型是伸懶腰的貓咪？
策展人簡浩然 .edmund 分享，貓咪只有在感到放鬆、安心和信任時，才會展現這個姿態。策展團隊亦希望每一位來到展覽的朋友，都可以像這隻貓咪一樣，暫時放下急速的步伐，輕鬆地感受深水埗的社區故事。

【DX design hub】Touch Design |‘Giant Kitty’ with hidden details! 🐱 Stretch out and savour local stories ✨

Great design lives in Sham Shui Po, which is well known for its fabric and craft-material shops. It is also home to more than 400 resident ‘Cat Managers’.

Co-curated by Hong Kong Design Centre and local art collective Art Dreamers, the ‘Meow-cation – With cats, we connect’ exihibtion seamlessly merges felines with local textile culture. A giant cat structure was first 3D-printed, then lovingly adorned with fabrics, buttons, and zips sourced directly from neighborhood shops in Sham Shui Po.

🤔 Why a stretching cat?
Curator Edmund Kan .edmund shares that cats only make this pose when they feel relaxed, safe and trusting. The curatorial team hopes that every visitor can feel the same way: slow down, relax and discover the community stories of Sham Shui Po.

Many interactive features can be found at the showcase. Press the buttons on the display panels to hear recordings of real cats meowing. Look up and you may even find giant cats interacting above your head!

Watch the video to hear Edmund’s curatorial insights! This giant cat will also venture beyond Sham Shui Po to tour Hong Kong, spotlighting the unique charm and stories of each neighbourhood. Where should it go next? Stay tuned.

剛在9月結束個人秀展的 Kit Wan (Kit Wan Studios)，現場好評如潮、迴響熱烈！承接熱潮，DX設計館《Kit Wan Studios時尚焦點》將延長至11月1日，讓更多觀眾欣賞他的跨界作品展！

【DX design hub】Showcase Extended: Kit Wan Studios Fashion Spotlight: Metal Poetry, Future Romanticism ✨

Just wrapped up his acclaimed solo fashion show in September, Kit Wan (Kit Wan Studios) continues to captivate audiences with overwhelming praise and enthusiastic response. Building on this momentum, the ‘Kit Wan Studios Fashion Spotlight’ at DX design hub has been extended until 1 November, offering more visitors the opportunity to experience his boundary-pushing interdisciplinary creations.

Spanning a decade of creative evolution from Hong Kong to Oslo, Kit Wan redefines the boundaries between design and art through his distinctive mechanical aesthetics and sci-fi vision. He treats ‘material’ as the soul of his practice, transforming recycled metal components, sculpture and costume into poetic dialogues between humanity and technology.

《設計 x 中樂：弦鳴追月》音樂會圓滿舉行！

是次音樂會為香港設計中心與香港中樂團首次跨界合作，將當代設計與中樂完美融合，為觀眾呈獻一場別開生面的視聽盛宴。場內更特別展出知名意大利設計師斯蒂法諾·喬凡諾尼的經典作品「Qeeboo 兔子椅」，增添節日氣氛。香港中樂團重奏小組帶來多首經典名曲，其中《雷鳴樂昇平》更為首演曲目。

音樂會不僅是一場演出，更是一場設計、文化與藝術的跨界對話，展現創意如何連繫社群。我們期望未來繼續透過更多創新合作，為大眾帶來豐富多元的設計及文化體驗。

‘Design × Chinese Orchestra: An Evening of Lunar Resonance’ Concert concludes successfully

This concert marked the first-ever cross-disciplinary collaboration between Hong Kong Design Centre and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, seamlessly blending contemporary design with Chinese music to create a unique audio-visual experience for audiences. Adding to the festive atmosphere was the special display of the iconic Qeeboo Rabbit Chair by renowned Italian designer Stefano Giovannoni. HKCO Ensemble performed a selection of classic masterpieces, with ‘Thunderous Joy in a Peaceful World’ being featured as a premiere piece.

More than a performance, the concert served as a creative dialogue between design, culture and the arts, demonstrating how creativity can connect communities and inspire new perspectives. We look forward to bringing more innovative collaborations to the public and continuing to enrich Hong Kong's vibrant cultural and design landscape.
