1994年中國華南水災，當年一群來自各階層的人士投入救災工作。目睹內地山區貧困落後，人民生活艱苦，意識到解決貧困，提升生活質素，必須由教育開始。於是在廣西省那坡縣興建了第一所學校。
In 1994, a group of volunteers participated in helping after a devastating flood in southernChina. Upon discovering the poor living conditions in the surrounding area, the volunteers established a school in Guangxi province in an effort to raise local standards of living.


過去 14 年來，感謝熱心人

士及機構團體的支持，先後在廣西、雲南、江西、陜西、山東、貴州、甘肅、廣東、四川各省偏遠地區直接或間接興建了超過1000 所中小學校。這群義工為了更有效地開展工作，於 2000 年決定籌組慈恩基金會有限公司，註冊為慈善團體。(免稅檔案：91/6177)
Starting from 1997, focus has been on Guizhou, China's poorest province,
helping to establish schools and subsidizing financially struggling students. In order to work more effectively, Gracecharity Ltd. was founded by our volunteers in June 2000.
