We are deeply honored to share that our Chief Imam of Hong Kong, Muftee Muhammad Arshad, has been graciously selected to perform Umrah under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program, initiated by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and managed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Saudi Arabia.

This noble program reflects the Kingdom’s generosity and its commitment to strengthening bonds among Muslim communities worldwide. Imam Arshad arrived in Madinah on 9 July 2026, where he was received with great respect and hospitality.

May Allah Almighty bless this journey with spiritual enlightenment and reward all those who serve the cause of Islam.

The International Islamic Society is pleased to share an important community initiative supporting the wellbeing of our youth. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s Mental Health Projects, with support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, is hosting a meaningful workshop titled “When Someone Says ‘I’m Fine’ — Learning How to Recognise and Respond to Mental Distress.”

This fully subsidised Mental Health First Aid session is designed especially for non‑Chinese youth aged 15–24 in Hong Kong, offering practical guidance on how to notice signs of distress, listen with care, respond safely, and support friends without pressure.

The International Islamic Society is pleased to share the newly released Islamic Calendar 1448 Hijri, published by The Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong.

This year’s calendar beautifully highlights historic and contemporary masjids across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the wider Muslim world—reminding us of the rich heritage, unity, and diversity of our global Ummah. Alongside daily prayer timings, the calendar features important Islamic dates, local public holidays, and valuable community information.

We encourage all brothers and sisters to make use of this calendar for their daily prayers, planning, and spiritual reflection throughout the Hijri year.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Trustees for their continued service to the Muslim community of Hong Kong through education, religious guidance, and preservation of Islamic heritage.

Members may obtain the calendar through the Trustees Office or during upcoming community programs and Friday gatherings.
