The Global Youth Climate Action Fund (GYCAF) is the first of its kind climate fund dedicated to financing youth-led climate action around the world.

The GYCAF is an initiative of BLI Global.

We’re pleased to share the first edition of our GYCAF Microgrants Alumni Stories, highlighting the lasting impact of projects previously supported by the Fund.

From expanding access to solar energy in the DRC, to enabling students in remote Vanuatu to study after dark, and restoring ecosystems alongside communities through the Green The Lake Project, these stories show how youth-led initiatives can continue to grow well beyond the initial grant period.
Three grantees. Three continents. One shared vision: a just and sustainable future.

This is only the first alumni feature: more stories will follow as we continue to reconnect with former grantees and showcase their progress, achievements and lessons learned.

🌍 Your story has the power to inspire climate action.

The Youth Climate Stories initiative is looking for original stories from young people around the world who are creating change in their communities.

📝 Submit a written story under 1,000 words, or a video/audio piece under 3 minutes.

🌱 Stories should connect to one or more GYCAF categories: sustainable agriculture, clean energies, oceans, capacity building, nature-based solutions, or tech & innovation.
