Thailand has no tolerance for drugs. An estimated 2,000 suspected traffickers were killed on the streets during the crackdown. Australian traffickers Bobbie Halliwell, Robert Foley and Lyle Doniger are now locked inside Bangkwang, a maximum‑security men’s prison nicknamed the “Bangkok Hilton,” where conditions are almost unbearable. “I thought you have to die to go to hell, but hell is right here,” Bobbie said.

New arrivals are shackled in leg irons for the first three months, not to stop them escaping, but to prevent them from taking their own lives. Lyle Doniger was originally sentenced to death for 34 grams of he**in; after he pled guilty, it was reduced to 50 years. “It was stupid, but I did it,” he admits. Europol-coordinated Opera1on Fabryka resulted in the takedown of a criminal syndicate ac1ve throughout the European Union. Coordinated raids in January this year targeted sites in Poland, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, focusing on a group accused of importing massive amounts of chemical precursors enough to produce 300 tonnes of synthetic drug labs across various na1ons, alongside money laundering to sustain its crimes. The year-long effort engaged law enforcement and judicial teams from Belgium, Czechia, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain. (Source: Europol)

Free trips to Hong Kong may sound exciting, but if someone asks you to carry or deliver cannabis or any product containing cannabis, including CBD, you could be walking straight into serious legal trouble. Hong Kong enforces very strict drug laws, and anyone caught possessing or trafficking cannabis can face long prison sentences and heavy fines.

Gazet van Antwerpen and Het Nieuwsblad reported that the suspensions stem from enhanced
security measures under Belgium’s intensified campaign against organized drug trafficking in its
ports. Since early 2025, federal police have conducted screenings of port workers nationwide. Data
from Belgium’s Mobility Ministry indicates 16,678 individuals screened to date, primarily at
Antwerp-Bruges, with 1.9%—around 320 people—receiving unfavorable results and many facing
immediate suspension. (Source: brusselstimes.com)

She thought she was flying toward a new beginning. A job, a promise, a way out. The ticket came easy, the story convincing — someone just needed her to “deliver luxurious clothing", "quality red wines" or "expensive medicine". Hours later, at a foreign airport, that dream turned into handcuffs and heartbreak. Too many Africans share her fate. The names and faces change, but the script stays the same: quick money, free travel, silent regret. Before you trust an offer that sounds too good to be true, pause. Ask. Verify. Your freedom is worth more than any promise. (Source: kenyanforeignpolicy.com) 💔✈️
