Powerboat Training 🚤

Today (13 September), our cadets attended a powerboat handling training session, progressing from hands-on familiarisation with outboard engines to actually operating the powerboats. The cadets studied diligently and acquired maritime knowledge throughout. T.S. Mountbatten has always followed a “learning by doing” training model ⛵️🛶🚤, enabling cadets to develop skills through practice. If young people aged 12 to 16 are interested in our activities, please email [email protected] to apply to join our family 😆

⛵️ Sailing Training Day for Instructors ⚓️

To enhance T.S.Mountbatten instructors’ understanding of sailing aboard and explore how sailing can be incorporated into seamanship training, our officers and instructors learnt how to sail today (30 August)! ⛵️

Although the weather was changeable today, it did not stop our officers and instructors from learning how to handle a sailing boat, as well as acquiring relevant sailing knowledge and skills.

In the future, sailing will be introduced as one of the seamanship training activities in T.S.Mountbatten. We hope that learning to sail will inspire our cadets to take a greater interest in maritime knowledge.
