Five months later… Our little Grogu is now a completely transformed and fully recovered little dog, unrecognisable really….

I’ll always feel very grateful to his amazing people, they loved him at first sight when they took him home in February. They were determined to get him well and give him the best life, a promise they’ve most certainly kept. 💖

JONAH NEEDS A HOME! 🐾

Jonah is a parvo survivor pup. He’s the most loving puppy, beyond cute… 💖

He wiggles his whole body with excitement when he gets the chance to play with another dog or a human. The ultimate snuggle bug, he really couldn’t possibly be any friendlier, full of love for life! ❤️

Jonah (four months old) is currently staying at our Adoption Centre in Sai Kung. We’d love him to have a foster home soon - if not a forever home. 🙏

FINDING INDIE - HELLO DOOBY! 🐾

Indie - As of now Indie is alive and well, she’s just proving a massive challenge to catch! She currently goes to two areas to get food and both are relatively safe.

Traps haven’t worked thus far but she’s not running frantic from people like she was initially. So many people on Lamma have now seen her and everyone knows her. A nice ‘Dog folks’ community over there for sure.

Dooby - A smile for me this morning bumping into little Lamma resident Dooby who was adopted from us recently, he had a couple of treats and then went on his way with his person who adores him. Hope if he sees Indie he’ll have a word with her, tell her to let us help her. ❤️

I’ll keep everyone updated about Indie, I can’t tell you just how much I want to post that we have her - and then get on with the masses of things now more backed up than usual for CP. 🤯🙃

LILY NEEDS A HOME! 🐾

Being in a great foster home has really helped little Lily come out of her shell, she’s now ready for a forever home. An update from her foster mum below….

“Meet Lily, a sweet, happy, and incredibly lovable 10-month-old girl who is looking for her forever home! This affectionate pup is a total lap dog who loves big hugs, long walks, and playing with socks or chewing on her favorite buffalo horn.

She walks beautifully on the lead without pulling, and while she is always happy to meet new people and dogs, she might give a quick bark when she first spots them. Lily is a bit of a fussy eater and is almost fully toilet trained if taken out on a regular schedule.

She is looking for a home without young kids or cats, and her absolute dream setup would be with an active young couple or a family with other small, playful pups to help her continue building her social skills!” ✨🐾

This gorgeous little girl just had her first vaccine and is now ready for her forever home….

Rescued all alone in the hillside when she was only teeny, Caribou has thrived in her foster home. A gorgeous little character blessed with the most beautiful looks, her eyes are just stunning! 💖

INDIE - A SIGHTING LAST NIGHT 🙏

After seemingly disappearing since Monday, we had a very clear sighting of Indie last night.

She’s still ‘lost’ in the sense that we don’t have her, but to have survived the elements this week… That’s amazing and still gives us hope of getting her back.

We are doing all we can, so far nothing has worked but we continue to try. The worry and anguish over this one little lost dog has been all consuming.

* There is no scheduled CP homing this weekend, I may have to go back to Lamma Island but this afternoon I’m going to post some of the dogs I can arrange meetings for at our centre anyway. Trying to stay positive and keep on top of the other million things need to do basically.

Come on Indie, we need you back!!! 🥹🙏

A KIND GESTURE - A BIG DIFFERENCE 🐾

From a lovely fella with a big heart! 💪

Huge thanks to John Wilkinson for not only offering to deliver us six much needed canopies, but also then telling me he’s covered the cost of them. ❤️

We need these to give us shelter from the sun more than the rain over the summer months, which are pretty much torture for all who run a dog shelter. 🫠

We’ll definitely have much happier dogs here now that they can sit more comfortably outside. 🙏

UPDATE - AKI 🐾

Finding it really hard to do ‘upbeat’ posts right now about any dog when we have one missing, the worry is taking a real toll. 🥲

We have so many dogs still needing a home though, and also so so many that we have homed that are doing great. These photos of little Aki coming through on whatsapp did made me smile despite my headspace currently being filled with anxiety.

So I’m sharing as this little one is doing great, and I want something nice on the page today too. 💖

Desperately hoping for some good news about Indie soon too. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
