CORE Academy is pleased to announce that Professor Kees Schouhamer Immink, IEEE Medal of Honor recipient and one of the foremost pioneers of the digital storage age, has been appointed as a Member of the Academic Committee of the CORE Academy.

Professor Immink is widely recognized for his landmark contributions to the coding technologies that made the CD, DVD, and Blu-ray Disc possible. His work helped shape the foundations of modern digital audio, video, and data storage, and has had a profound impact on global engineering and technological civilization.

🌍 CORE Academy and the Institute of Physics of Azerbaijan Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

The International CORE Academy of Sciences and Humanities delegation—comprising Professor Li Lei, Professor Yingsan Geng, Dr. Raymond J. Wu, and Ms. Lianzhi Liu—visited the Institute of Physics under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku.

During the visit, both sides officially signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on the Establishment of the International Eurasian Laboratory, marking an important step forward in deepening scientific collaboration and innovation within the Belt and Road framework.

The agreement was signed by Academician Arif Hashimov, Director General of the Institute of Physics, and Professor Li Lei, Member of the Executive Board of CORE Academy. It aims to promote cooperation in research and development, education and training, technology transfer, and international exchange.

This milestone reflects the growing partnership between CORE Academy and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS)—advancing our shared vision of global scientific integration and collaborative innovation.

🌐 CORE Academy Delegation Attends the 80th Anniversary Celebration of ANAS

At the invitation of Academician Isa Habibbayli (FCAcad), President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), a delegation from the CORE Academy (International Core Academy of Sciences and Humanities) attended the grand celebration of the 80th Anniversary of ANAS in Baku.

The delegation included Professor Li Lei (Member of the Executive Board), Professor Yingsan Geng (Member of the Council), Dr. Raymond J. Wu (Executive Vice Secretariat-General), and Ms. Lianzhi Liu (Secretariat Assistant).
