育養海岸計劃 Coastal Watch

計劃背景 / Project Background:

2012年8月的塑膠粒洩漏災難，是香港人在海洋保育意識上一個轉捩點。我們發現香港大部分的沿岸地區不僅被膠粒污染，還遍布各式各樣的海洋垃圾。雖然膠粒事件已經告一段落，但海洋垃圾並未因此消失。世界自然基金會香港分會的「育養海岸」計劃就是承接著這鼓動力，繼續推動海洋保育及海岸清潔，利用科學方法研究、保護和持續監測香港極具生態價值的海洋棲息地。

tant presence on Hong Kong’s beaches and coastlines. The spirit behind WWF-Hong Kong’s Coastal Watch project is to bring forward this momentum to cherish our oceans and keep them clean. Coastal Watch will aim to use scientifically-sound methodologies to study, protect and provide year-round monitoring for all of Hong Kong’s ecologically valuable coastal habitats.
