Y-LOT Y-LOT Foundation Limited is registered as a charitable organization under section 88 of the IRO Y-LOT stands for ‘Youths. Love. Opportunities. Technology.’.

It means Youths’ love of opportunities and technology. The founder and chairman of Y-LOT, Mr. Andy Fei Chi En, donated HKD 20m to The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). In December 2020, HKUST established the ‘Fei Chi En Education and Research Fund’ to promote the future development of SciTech and its education, such as advanced materials research, aerospace and automotives pr

ojects, biomedical research and procurement of related facilities. We aim at making knowledge of Science and Technology more accessible and approachable to everyone. With better knowledge, we all will aspire to have a brighter future. At the same time, we focus on the education of young people, build a SciTech platform for them, and vigorously support the development of scientific research projects.

【𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓出席揚州科創金融對接會】

8月6日，「揚帆香江 智匯未來」揚州科創金融對接會在江蘇揚州舉行。會前一日，揚州市委書記王進健會見了香港科創金融參訪團一行。會上，市委副書記、市長鄭海濤出席並致辭；全國政協委員、香港高校代表及香港特區政府相關機構負責人等嘉賓先後發言。𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓聯合創始人兼行政總裁、香港江蘇企業協會特邀代表王靜嫻女士應邀出席是次活動。

活動期間，香港江蘇科創中心與揚州科教集團簽署合作協議。該中心作為𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓「第四屆香港創科研先鋒獎 2026-2027」的合辦機構，此次簽約進一步拓展了蘇港科創資源對接渠道。

對接會設有科創項目路演專場，來自香港多所高校的前沿科創項目集中亮相，涵蓋新一代信息技術、生物醫藥、新材料、智能裝備等領域。路演團隊與揚州企業、園區及金融機構就技術落地與產學研合作等議題展開深入交流，促進了蘇港科創資源的高效流通。

【𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓 Attends the Yangzhou SciTech and Financial Partnering Event】

On 6 August 2026, the Yangzhou SciTech and Financial Partnering Event, themed "Sailing from Hong Kong, Gathering Wisdom for the Future," was held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. Before the event, Mr. Wang Jinjian, Secretary of the CPC Yangzhou Municipal Committee, met with the Hong Kong SciTech and finance delegation. At the event, Mr. Zheng Haitao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yangzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Yangzhou, attended and delivered a speech, followed by remarks from members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), representatives from universities in Hong Kong, and HKSAR government officials. 𝐌𝐬. 𝐄𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐂𝐨-𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐨𝐟 𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓 and special representative of the Hong Kong Jiangsu Enterprises Association, was invited to attend the event.

The Hong Kong Jiangsu Science and Technology Innovation Center and the Yangzhou Science and Education Group signed a cooperation agreement at the event. As a co-organizer of 𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓’s the "4th Hong Kong Research Pioneers Award 2026-2027," the Center's signing further expands the channels for matching SciTech resources between Jiangsu and Hong Kong.

The partnering event featured a dedicated roadshow session for SciTech projects. Multiple cutting-edge SciTech projects from various universities in Hong Kong made a collective appearance, covering fields such as next-generation information technology, biomedicine, new materials, and intelligent equipment. The roadshow teams engaged in in-depth exchanges with Yangzhou enterprises, industrial parks, and financial institutions regarding technology implementation and industry-university-research cooperation, promoting the efficient flow of SciTech resources between Jiangsu and Hong Kong.

Looking ahead, 𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓 looks forward to continuing to join hands with the Hong Kong Jiangsu Science and Technology Innovation Center and other partners to continuously broaden the channels for matching SciTech resources between Jiangsu and Hong Kong, contributing substantial strength to the innovation and technology development of both regions.

From the release of the national “AI + Education” Action Plan in April, to Hong Kong’s Blueprint for Digital Education Development in Primary and Secondary Schools backed by a HK$2 billion investment in June, and further to Cyberport’s launch of the inclusive “AI for All” scheme and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s announcement in July that AI courses will be mandatory for all incoming undergraduates, a comprehensive intelligence‑driven transformation across primary, secondary, and tertiary education is now fully underway. 【SciTech Spotlight | 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference】

From July 17 to 20, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) was held in Shanghai under the theme "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future". President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech on crucial topics, including global AI governance. With over 1,000 companies exhibiting, AI agents and industry-specific large models are deeply empowering various vertical sectors. Embodied AI was featured as a core track for the first time, where over 300 humanoid robots demonstrated practical capabilities—moving from "showing off skills" to "getting the job done" in tasks ranging from depalletizing and assembly to inspection. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), in collaboration with three major innovation hubs in Hong Kong—Cyberport, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP), and Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP), led 18 SciTech companies to showcase their innovative achievements in humanoid robots and smart transportation at the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion, reflecting Hong Kong's active integration into the nation's overall AI development and its leverage of unique international advantages.

The deep integration of AI and the real economy is significantly reshaping the global industrial landscape. 𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓 is paying close attention to this transformation. 【𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓 HKSPA 2026-2027 Judging Panel Members】

Organized by 𝐘-𝐋𝐎𝐓, co-organized by the Hong Kong Jiangsu Science and Technology Innovation Center, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), and exclusively reported by China Daily, “the 4th Hong Kong SciTech Pioneers Award 2026-2027” (𝐇𝐊𝐒𝐏𝐀) has now entered the phase of Judging Panel Screening. The 𝐇𝐊𝐒𝐏𝐀 Public Pre-Award Workshop will be held in mid-to-late July 2026, followed by the official announcement of the screening results in late July 2026. The physical interview sessions are scheduled for mid August 2026. Please stay tuned for the latest updates on 𝐇𝐊𝐒𝐏𝐀.
