重阳节 (Chóngyángjié) —
Chongyang Festival, also known as the Double Ninth Festival, is observed on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. It is a traditional autumn festival in China, focusing on wellness, longevity, and protection from illness and misfortune. People climb hills to enjoy the crisp air and golden autumn scenery, and chrysanthemum flowers play a central role in decorations and offerings. Tables are filled with seasonal foods, such as chrysanthemum cakes and other autumn delicacies. The mood is calm and respectful, honoring ancestors while looking toward the future. It is a time to slow down, breathe, and cherish family ties.
