🐶✨ Junior Guide Dog Navigators Training Camp: Now in English! 18 October
Last Sunday 20 Sept, our very first class of Junior Guide Dog Navigators graduated at the Hong Kong Guide Dogs Academy! 🎓
At the camp, children explore what it means to Built to G.U.I.D.E through hands-on activities that opens a window into the world of guide dogs and people with visual impairments:
👀 Reading dog body language: Learning to recognize our furry friends' little gestures and understand how their emotions change.
🧼 Daily care: Learning the love and responsibility behind caring for a dog.
🙈 Blindfold maze: Experiencing firsthand what it's like to lose one's sight, realizing the importance of empathy, and learning to offer a helping hand whenever someone needs it.
🐕 Juno Walk
🐕 Juno Walk: Holding one end of the guide dog harness, children feel and learn what it's like to trust a guide dog to lead the way
Watching our September graduates proudly receive their certificates was a truly moving moment.
