ish Ross, Lodewijk Meens and Manó Markovits, will race as two teams the 100KM through the highest mountains of Hong Kong, for CWS. The objective is to finish under 24 hours. The Oxfam Trailwalker, www.oxfamtrailwalker.org.hk , is one of the largest fundraising sporting events in Hong Kong. Since 1986, more than 77,000 participants have raised over HK$393 million to support Oxfam's various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects in Africa and Asia, including Hong Kong and mainland China. Firstly, we support OXFAM, the organiser of this race. Secondly, we will aim to raise money again for the same charity in Nepal, CWS ‘Child Welfare Scheme'. CWS, http://www.cwshk.org, is dedicated to supporting and empowering disadvantaged and vulnerable children, young people and women in Nepal through projects that focus on protection, education, health care and opportunities. The aim is to empower children and communities to create a brighter future for themselves. Last two years the Dutch CWS team raised more than HK$ 100,000 (12,000 Euro). This year the goal is to raise HK$ 125,000 per team (15,000 Euro) for Child Friendly School Projects in Nepal. We will support primary schools with the set up of 25 book corners and 25 kindergarten classrooms, each HK$ 2,500.
