“From the Sun to the Stars”

First of all, my heartfelt congratulations to President-Elect Stefani Ngo on her successful election. I wish her and her 2027 team every success as they prepare to embark on a new journey under the inspiring slogan, “Shine Now.”

During our AGM, I jokingly asked a question inspired by my own name, Gilbert Sun: If the “Sun” is no longer shining over Tsuen Wan at night, who will light the way?

The answer touched me deeply. When the sun sets, the stars begin to shine—and every member of JCI Tsuen Wan can become one of those stars.

It reminded me that a chapter should never depend on one person to shine. Whether it is day or night, whether it is the sun or countless stars above us, what truly matters is that we shine together as one. Perhaps this is also the perfect connection between our journeys: from “Masteries Unleash” to “Shine Now.” Once we discover and unleash our own mastery, we can have the confidence to shine.

As my presidential journey gradually approaches to its nearly final chapters, I would especially like to thank every member of my Board of Directors. In my heart, you are the heroes of JCI Tsuen Wan. Each of you has written your own heroic story this year through your dedication, courage, friendship, and contribution.

The Hero Team puzzle I prepared is more than a gift. Each piece represents one of you—unique on its own, but only when we come together does the complete picture truly shine.

Thank you for standing beside me, believing in our chapter, and making this journey possible.

The Sun may eventually set, but the stars will continue to shine.

At JCI Tsuen Wan, we believe every member has a mastery — and every member has the potential to lead.

Through 16+ trainings, President Academy, We Are Masters, BOD Training, PMO, project training and volunteer development, we created opportunities for members to learn, step up and take ownership.

🔥 WE LED FROM THE FRONT.
Under President Gilbert, Masteries Unleashed became more than a theme. Leadership meant taking action, empowering the team and creating opportunities for others to shine.

🚀 WE STEPPED UP BEYOND OUR CHAPTER.
Senator Vincent Pang and Senator Calvin Chan demonstrated how leadership developed in Tsuen Wan can grow into wider responsibilities and greater impact.

🌏 WE TOOK LEADERSHIP TO THE WORLD.
With Senator Ben Mak serving as JCI Executive Vice President for Asia-Pacific, leadership from Tsuen Wan reached the international stage.

🏅 WE LED AT EVERY LEVEL.
From chapter → national → international, our leaders showed that leadership has no single title or boundary.

✨ WE TURNED MEMBERS INTO MASTERS.
More importantly, the story was never only about a few leaders. Through training, projects and real responsibilities, JCITW members discovered their strengths, developed their masteries and stepped forward to lead.

🏆 MASTER THE BRAND
We didn’t just promote JCI Tsuen Wan. We built a brand people could experience.

In 2026, Masteries Unleashed challenged us to think beyond ordinary promotion. We turned creativity, storytelling and our members’ own masteries into a complete JCITW brand ecosystem. ✨

🌌 WE CREATED OUR OWN UNIVERSE.
The JCITW Hero Team gave our members original characters, unique identities and their own stories — supported by 300+ emojis & stickers that brought the JCITW universe into our everyday conversations.

🎤 WE TOOK OUR BRAND TO THE STREETS.
Instead of waiting for people to discover JCI, we went directly into the community. Through street interviews, real people shared real voices — bringing JCI face-to-face with Tsuen Wan.

🎬 WE TURNED EVENTS INTO STORIES.
Through Tsuen Wan Theatre, Legendary Story Recap and cinematic promotions, our projects were no longer simply reported. Every event became a story worth watching.

💻 WE REBUILT OUR DIGITAL HOME.
A completely revamped JCITW website created a new look and better experience, bringing together our project showcase, membership recruitment and member resources — one digital home for the JCITW story.

📱 And through our Magazine, EDM, President’s Message, Birthday Star, Social Media and WhatsApp, the brand stayed alive throughout the year.

In this hands-on Re-Glass Workshop, you’ll explore the full journey of glass recycling—from collection and processing to artistic creation.
