HELP for Domestic Workers

When a health crisis comes up, migrant domestic workers are often left to navigate it alone. Barriers like time, cost, and language can mean health concerns go unaddressed until they become serious.

Jaya* came to us while undergoing treatment for lung cancer, wondering what support was available to her. Our team advised her on her options, helping her understand what support she could access through the healthcare system, and the next steps. Weeks later, her sister called to let us know she had passed. We coordinated with the Philippine Consulate to support arrangements to bring her remains home.

We share Jaya's story with her memory in mind. ❤️ It speaks to something we see too often - that for migrant domestic workers, a serious illness rarely stays contained to health alone, touching employment, immigration status, and access to care all at once. 🫂

Stories like Jaya's highlight the importance of seeking healthcare support early. We support workers and employers navigate the healthcare system and understand their rights and responsibilities. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐭 +𝟖𝟓𝟐 𝟓𝟗𝟑𝟔 𝟑𝟕𝟖𝟎 for advice. ☎️💬
