由香港開埠至今，中上環作為香港的中心，一直見證著香港的成長及身份轉變，當中有很多已經消失或被遺忘的人、事、物，他們的消失就像從未存在過一樣。但是真的嗎?他們的消失真的一點關係都沒有嗎?沒有過去，哪有今天，更哪會有將來?

中西區社區文化大使由2009年11月開始招募及訓練，至2010年5月開始帶領中小學生、大專生、公眾人士等暢遊中西區，講解中西區的地區歷史及掌故，以及社區發展、與本港政策等關係。至今(2012年7月)已經有超過3600人，參加了中西區社區文化導賞團，歡迎查詢及報名。
