WPTA Hong Kong is pleased to share our partner’s initiative - the “Practice Renewal” programme - a transformative 21-day journey designed specifically for classically trained pianists. 🎹

This programme is designed for those who seek greater clarity, continuity and confidence in their daily practice. Through a structured weekly rhythm, reflection and live conversations with experienced pianists and teachers, participants will develop a more focused and sustainable approach to their practice.

The next programme begins on 9 January 2026 and is open to pianists worldwide. Participation is FREE.

On 5th May 2025 in celebration of Erik Satie’s 100th Anniversary, IACM, in collaboration with , will attempt to present a complete performance of his enigmatic composition, Vexations—a single-page work that must be repeated 840 times!

To accomplish this monumental task, we are recruiting 168 pianists from diverse backgrounds to each play the piece 5 times in relay, ensuring minimal gaps between performers throughout the day. If our estimation is accurate, the entire performance will last approximately 14-16 hours.

This event will take place at Elements 圓方 , who has graciously sponsored the venue.

Additionally, we will host a briefing session and workshop for all performers on 13th April 2025, which all registered participants are expected to attend.

It doesn’t matter if you are an accomplished pianist, an amateur musician, or someone working in a non-music field—if you can perform the piece with a reasonable level of accuracy, meet our tempo requirements, and are committed to joining once you sign up, we invite you to apply using the form below. 本協會特別邀請了德國裔鋼琴家、英國皇家伯明翰音樂學院青少年音樂課程鍵盤樂系主任Mr. Jan Loeffler飛來香港，為港澳總決賽擔任評審之一。我們亦非常榮幸邀請到波蘭第15屆蕭邦國際鋼琴大賽得獎者李嘉齡女士 (Ms. Colleen Lee) 和前英國皇家音樂學院聯合委員會考官Mr. Robin Zebaida，為參賽選手評分及評價。

我們誠摯邀請您參與2025年WPTA世界鋼琴教師協會港澳鋼琴公開大賽—WPTA香港和澳門分會的首次聯合盛事！比賽將在香港和澳門兩地舉辦，港澳區總決賽將於香港舉行。

本大賽旨在推動鋼琴教育的發展，為所有鋼琴老師及學生提供專業且多元化的演奏平台，讓大家能展現才華，進行既充實又有意義的音樂交流。

🌍 WPTA（世界鋼琴教師協會）成立於歐洲，總部位於英國倫敦和塞爾維亞，定期舉辦世界鋼琴大會和國際鋼琴比賽。目前，WPTA已在近四十個國家設立分會，包括美國、法國、德國、加拿大、墨西哥、新加坡、馬來西亞、泰國、日本和韓國等。
