Advancing Women’s Empowerment on the Global Stage

The Zonta Club of Victoria Hong Kong is proud to be represented at the 67th Zonta International Convention 2026 by our delegation — President Patsy Ng as well as Past Presidents Helen Wong and Esther Chan.

Held from 11–14 July 2026, the Convention marked the beginning of the 2026–2028 Biennium and brought together over 1,500 delegates and global leaders from around the world to shape the organisation’s future direction, strengthen international collaboration, and reaffirm our shared commitment to advancing the rights, safety, and opportunities of women and girls.

As part of this global movement, we remain dedicated to empowering women through service and advocacy — promoting women’s leadership, supporting education, and standing firmly behind initiatives such as Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women, coupled with Zonta Says NOW to Gender-Equal Climate Action.

Together, we continue to work towards a world where every woman and girl can realize her full potential. 🌟

Proud to accept the Bronze Award at the Zonta International Conference in Canada!

We are delighted to share that Zonta Club of Victoria Hong Kong’s support for the Stay True Emotional Wellness Program, launched by Stay True Charitable Foundation (EmpowerWomen), has been recognized with the Bronze Award of Outstanding Service Project, the Zonta District 17 District Governor’s Second Year Award (Biennium 2024–2026).

This meaningful program empowers underprivileged women and girls in Hong Kong who face the pressure of work, caregiving, financial hardship, single parenthood, health challenges, and caring for children with SEN. Through experiential workshops, peer support groups, mindfulness, emotional awareness, and self-love practices, participants gain practical tools to build resilience and strengthen their well-being.

We are honored to support this self discovery and healing initiative, which has reached over 60 women across five cohorts and created lasting impact for these women and girls.

🌟 Leadership, Legacy, and New Beginnings 🌟

On 13 May, we celebrated a momentous milestone with the Installation Ceremony of our 2026–2028 Executive Board! The evening brought together 86 Zontians, sister clubs, NGO partners, and honored guests, making it a beautiful celebration of fellowship and shared mission.

🙏 Special thanks to District Governor Winnie Wong for officiating the ceremony and for her unwavering support, and to Helen Wong, our outgoing President, for an incredible term. Under Helen’s leadership (2024–2026), we raised an extraordinary HK$2.2 million to empower women and girls — a true testament to her dedicated service and advocacy. 💛

✨ A highlight of the evening was a meaningful 35th Anniversary milestone: our founding member Mayching pledged HK$1 million to establish the Professor Mayching Kao Women Empowerment Fund, ensuring long-term impact for women and girls.

We were deeply inspired by Guest of Honor, Mr. Kyran Sze MH, who shared his insights on the role of inclusive design and female leadership in shaping a more equitable future in architecture.

💐 Congratulations to our new President, Patsy Ng, and the 2026–2028 Executive Board! Together, we’ll continue advancing the status of women and girls through service and advocacy. Here’s to another era of impact and empowerment!

Zontians joined the Area 2 meeting 2026

Ten sisters from Zonta Clubs of Victoria joined dozens of fellow Zontians of Area 2, District 17, at the annual Area 2 meeting in Hong Kong yesterday.

On top of learning from the Zonta dignitaries on Zonta management and governance, and the community contribution by fellow clubs, we are particularly proud to announce that our newly installed member Jewel Ho won the Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award in 2025.

Jewel is not only an Engineer at Meta, navigating her way in a male dominating industry, but also driving change to empower women in the start-up world in her capacity as the curator at "She Loves Tech". Winning this global award is a testament of her contribution to a better world for women and girls, in line with the vision of Zonta International.

Zonta Club of Victoria is more than delighted to welcome Jewel to the club, as the first ever tech professional. We look forward to working with Jewel and fellow Zontians to continue to empower women and girls, one step at a time.

Inclusive Climate Action and Policy Planning by Social Impact Consultant Jason Yip

We were honored to welcome humanitarian and social impact consultant Jason Yip for an enlightening sharing on climate action on 14 January.

Drawing on his firsthand experience in policy planning with the Kuala Lumpur municipality, Jason highlighted how climate crisis magnifies existing vulnerabilities, placing disproportionate burdens on underserved communities.

His compelling insights have motivated us to deepen our commitment to inclusive solutions for those in need. As advocates for justice, we strive to make climate action not only sustainable, but also inclusive - advancing gender equality and uplifting those most affected.

Let’s join hands in building a future that is not only sustainable, but truly equitable for all!

16 Days of Activism - in collaboration with Po Leung K*k

Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women. This year, Zonta Club of Victoria joins hands with six Zonta Clubs in Hong Kong, to partner with Po Leung K*k to bring our advocacy to everyone in the city through a public education program backed by a mobile art exhibition titled “Forceful Love, True Love?” The program is aimed at educating the public about family violence and explore ways to express love in the family, in a creative manner.

At Zonta Club of Victoria, we support “16 Days of Activism” every year, with campaigns to raise the awareness of violence against women, where Zontian sisters come together for the advocacy.

Come and join us at various parts of the city to understand more about family violence and how to turn “Forceful Love” to “True Love”. Details can be found in the second image.
