This page is about the service learning subjects at the Department of Computing. As part of their coursework, students are required to participate in one of several service learning projects:
Hong Kong
- To improve the living conditions and marketable skills of refugees through Cantonese and IT workshops
- To raise awareness of the refugee condition in Hong Kong through outreach events to local s
econdary schools. Cambodia
- To empower young people by teaching self-expression through digital storytelling
- To improve the IT awareness and exposure of young people through training workshops
- To design, develop and install needed hardware and/or software solutions for local NGOs
- To aid local NGOs in better serving their communities by collecting and analyzing population and demographic data
