Don’t miss “Art Across Boundaries”, a beautiful charity art exhibition organised by Children of the Mekong Hong Kong, opening today and running until May 17 at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre (vA!).

Curated by Sandra Ormiston, Anne Deligny Villet, and Christel Villepelet, it offers an inspiring experience that combines art with a meaningful cause. The show presents more than 150 artworks by over 30 international and local artists, in a mix of paintings, sculptures, and other media.

This multicultural exhibition celebrates creativity without borders and fosters cultural connections. Importantly, it aims to raise funds for Children of the Mekong’s education programmes, which provide essential support to underprivileged children in the Philippines.

Réhahn is a French photographer widely recognized for his intimate and vibrant portraits of Vietnam that bridge travel, culture, and heritage. Drawn to the remarkable tapestry of the country's diverse ethnic communities, he settled permanently in the ancient town of Hoi An in 2011, where he continues to live and work.

His standout project, the “Precious Heritage Project,” is a long-term endeavor that has created one of the most extensive visual collections of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. This initiative culminated in the opening of the Precious Heritage Art Gallery & Museum in Hoi An in 2017.

The author of several books, including the trilogy “Vietnam, Mosaic of Contrasts”, Réhahn has exhibited his work internationally. His photographs have been published in National Geographic, BBC, Geo, and CNN, and are housed in both private and public collections worldwide.

Since 2023, he has been exploring a new creative path he calls Impressionist Photography. Inspired by Monet, Cézanne, and the great Impressionist painters of his native Normandy, he skillfully uses light, reflections, and natural distortions from the heat to merge the worlds of photography and painting.

He will join the group exhibition "Art Across Boundaries," held at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre from May 14 to 17. This event is part of a charity initiative by Children of the Mekong in collaboration with Le French May.
