📚 Don’t know Macbeth yet? Start here.

🔮 Brave general Macbeth is returning from victory when he and Banquo meet three witches. They prophesy that Macbeth will become Thane of Cawdor and then King. Banquo will never be king, but his children will. The first prophecy comes true, and Macbeth begins to wonder.

⚔️ Pushed by Lady Macbeth, he murders King Duncan while the king is a guest in their castle and takes the throne. Power brings no peace. He has Banquo killed, then sees Banquo’s ghost. The witches say no one born of a woman can harm him, and he will not fall until the forest comes to the castle. Lady Macbeth, destroyed by guilt, sleepwalks and tries to wash blood from her hands.

💔 In the end, the enemy hides behind branches, so the forest “moves.” Macduff, born by caesarean, kills Macbeth. Duncan’s son becomes king. A story about ambition, choice, and the price of both.

🌍 This lies at the heart of our one-hour Globe on the Go school touring show: dynamic, accessible, and tailored specifically for Hong Kong students. The tour is nearing its final stop, with just two school performances left! Shakespeare is still on the move!
