In 1991, it was registered as a non-profit making organization. It is now a subsidiary of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and Society of American Magicians.,
and member of International Federation of Magical Societies (F.I.S.M.), Exclusive Board Member of Asian Magic Association . It is the only international organization of magicians in Hong Kong at present. It aims at promoting the a
rt of magic, associating individuals who are interested in magic, simulating local and oversea connections, upgrading the standard of the art of magic and the status of magicians, and assisting prospective magicians to develop their career. The members include local professional, semi-professional and amateur magicians. Besides the monthly meeting, it organize functions like Annual Performances, Magic Lectures, International Magic Convention Tours. In 1995, a voluntary service group was also established to provide social services to the public. There was a youth program established at 1998, which help the youth magic lovers who under 18 in charter the Society of Young Magicians Hong Kong Assembly. The Association organized the Beyond 2000 Hong Kong International Magic Convention and The First Hong Kong Open Magic Contest in 1999. It organized the Hong Kong 2003 International Magic Convention in year 2003., The 4th Asian Magic Convention in year 2007., year 2011 organized The 8th Asian Magic Convention & FISM Asia Championship of Magic, and organised 1st Asian Magic Expo in 2019. Visitors are welcome to our monthly meeting but appointments are required.
協會成立於1989，1991年正式註冊為非牟利社團，現為國際魔術家協會(International Brotherhood of Magicians)及美國魔術家協會(Society of American Magicians)屬會、國際魔術聯盟 (Federation Internationale Des Societes Magiques) 會員、亞洲魔術聯盟(Asian Magic Association)常任理事，是香港唯一非牟利國際性魔術演藝組織。
宗旨是致力於推廣魔術表演藝術，增加海外聯系及資訊，提高本地水準及魔術家地位，並協助新進魔術師發展。
會員包括本地專業魔術家及業餘魔術愛好者，除每月定期例會外，多年來支持學界魔術發展，每年製作大型週年匯演、為會員提供海外大師班魔術講座、安排海外國際魔術大會觀摩、協助本地選手參加海內外魔術比賽、95年成立義工表演小組，為有需要團體提供社會服務等。
98年推行青少年魔術發展計劃，協助香港18歲以下青少年魔術愛好者成立國際青少年魔術師協會(Society of Young Magicians)香港分會。
99年在港主辦首屆國際魔術大會 – 「飛躍二千香港國際魔術大會」，及首屆香港公開魔法大賽，二零零三年主辦「香港二零零三國際魔術大會」，二零零七年主辦「第四屆亞洲聯盟魔術大會」，二零一一年主辦「第八屆亞洲聯盟魔術大會暨FISM亞洲冠軍賽」，及在二零一九年成功主辦首屆「亞洲魔術博覧」
