Barony, an appellation of nobility derived from Old French and Latin meaning “warrior, nobleman”, signifies our loyalty, virtue and bravery in leading our 3000 business faculty students through challenges in the year ahead. We hope to create a sphere of inspiration and motivation for our students to prosper and shine in the business field. With nobleness and endurance in our spirit, we are
ready to spark up the year with baronial splendor and grandeur.
商泓
泓，本義指水深廣闊的海流，而商泓，指的是香港中文大學工商管理學院院會有容乃大，海納百川的行事作風。商泓是中大內的一道清泉，剔透而清澈，致力聚集全體多達三千人的商科同學；融聚各人的思緒，滙聚各方的才華，以「水」作為意像，將精髓溶合，再加以融會貫通；泓又與「弘」同音，有弘大的意思，除了喻意商泓這一度清泉水深而廣外，亦映照商泓氣度弘大，能容納多方對本會有益的意見，謂誠取善之弘也。商泓承諾會以專業的態度和無比的耐性，汲取不同書院商學生有益同的意見、發揮一己所長，事事力臻完美，弘揚商泓精神。
