💚 在肯亞的帕特島，有一群女性正默默修復著海岸，一棵紅樹林幼苗、一個希望地種下去。

💚 On Kenya’s Pate Island, a group of women are quietly healing the coast—one mangrove seedling at a time.

Known as the Mangrove Mothers, and led by Zulfa Hassan, lovingly called Mama Mikoko (“Mother Mangrove”), these women are restoring forests that protect shorelines, bring fish back to the sea, and support future generations. With support from The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and local partners, their leadership is helping nature—and communities—recover together. 🌱🌍

As environmental conditions shift, many wild animals have to move too—searching for places that are better suited for survival. Conservation today isn’t just about protecting land; it’s about helping wildlife keep going through the challenges brought by climate change.

要在城市中擴展基於自然的解決方案（Nature-based Solutions, NbS），關鍵是什麼？ 🌍🌱

今年4月， TNC HK 大自然保護協會 展開「UK-China Nature-based Climate Resilience」交流考察團（4月13–17日），走訪倫敦與劍橋，匯聚來自大灣區的代表團，一起交流學習如何在城市中推動 NbS擴大應用。

幾個重點分享：
💠 共同風險，需要共同議程： 城市面臨相似壓力——極端高溫、洪水、海平面上升、生物多樣性流失。
💠 政策與規劃是基礎： 與英國氣候變化委員會（UK Climate Change Committee）的交流，凸顯獨立氣候建議、跨部門協作的重要性，也看到將自然資本與生物多樣性淨增益（Biodiversity Net Gain）納入規劃的進展。
💠 自然方案在規模化時更能發揮效益： 泰晤士河口 2100（Thames Estuary 2100）（以及 Wallasea Island）展示以生態系為本的方法，如何支撐長期海岸風險管理。
💠 城市正在帶頭推進： 與大倫敦政府（GLA）及《倫敦氣候韌性檢視》（London Climate Resilience Review）的交流，聚焦 Cool Off in Culture、綠色基礎設施的願景，以及 C40 城市網絡的作用。

金融既是瓶頸，也是突破口：HSBC圓桌交流反映市場對自然正向、具氣候韌性的投資興趣正在提升；下一步是透過誘因、更清晰的標準與可投資的項目管道，把意向轉化為行動。

What does it take to scale nature-based solutions (NbS) in cities? 🌍🌱

In April , TNC led the UK-China Nature-based Climate Resilience Study Tour (13-17 April) in London & Cambridge, bringing together experts and partners from the Greater Bay Area to learn and exchange on scaling NbS for cities.

A few highlights:
💠 Shared risks, shared agenda: cities face the same pressures—extreme heat, flooding, sea-level rise, biodiversity loss.
💠 Policy & planning set the foundation: UK Climate Change Committee discussions reinforced the value of independent advice, cross-government coordination, plus natural capital and Biodiversity Net Gain.
💠 Nature at scale delivers: Thames Estuary 2100 (and Wallasea Island) showed ecosystem-based approaches for long-term coastal risk management.
💠 Cities are leading the way: exchanges with the GLA and the London Climate Resilience Review highlighted Cool Off in Culture, green infrastructure ambitions, and C40.

Finance is both bottleneck and breakthrough: the HSBC roundtable showed growing appetite—next step is action through incentives, standards, and investable pipelines.

#過度旅遊 近日備受關注。我們該如何在親近大自然的同時，避免造成生態負擔？

TNC HK 大自然保護協會的報告《白泥保育建議方案》提出以 #科學為本 及 #社區參與 的方式，為白泥這片具高生態價值的海岸濕地提供更完善的保護。報告建議透過劃分保育區域、設立開發低成本、生態有善的環保設施、推動社區保育，以及培訓生態導賞員，在保護脆弱生境的同時，引導公眾以更有序、更負責任的方式親近自然。

The Nature Conservancy’s report, “𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜-𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙜𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙖𝙠 𝙉𝙖𝙞 – 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩”, proposes a science‑based and community‑driven approach to better protect Pak Nai, a coastal wetland of high ecological value. The report recommends measures such as conservation zoning, low‑impact visitor facilities, community stewardship, and the training of eco‑guides—helping safeguard sensitive habitats while guiding visitors to experience nature in a more organised and responsible way.

上週於倫敦舉行的「UK–China Nature based Climate Resilience Study Tour」重點議題之一：要擴大推動基於自然的解決方案（NbS），不僅需要優質的個別專案，更要有全城規劃、清晰治理，以及從規劃到落地的推進機制。

圓桌會議匯聚銀行、資產管理人、投資者及保險機構，交流英國與中國在氣候調適與NbS融資的觀點，並透過案例研究探討如何在倫敦及粵港澳大灣區擴大資金規模與推動路徑。

與 Greater London Authority（GLA）及London Climate Resilience Review的交流，聚焦倫敦如何建立大都會層級的韌性策略與治理，以及NbS如何強化全市氣候韌性。

其後由 Columbia Climate School 與 TNC HK 大自然保護協會 共同主持的工作坊，深入討論「加速大灣區的基於自然的解決方案」，包括初步的空間與政策分析，以及針對共同願景、政策與研究缺口、落實挑戰、能力建設需求及跨境合作的互動交流。

下一步將整合並延續動能，於 2026 年 6 月的「Hong Kong NbS Week」期間推行更深入的工作坊。

A takeaway from last week UK–China Nature-based Climate Resilience Study Tour in London (13–17 April 2026): scaling nature-based solutions takes more than good projects—it takes city-wide strategy, clear governance, and a shared pipeline to action.

A roundtable brought together banks, asset managers, investors, and insurers to exchange UK and China perspectives on financing climate adaptation and NbS, using case studies to examine pathways for scaling finance across London and the Greater Bay Area.

An exchange with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the London Climate Resilience Review explored London’s approach to metropolitan resilience strategy and governance, and where NbS can strengthen resilience across the city.

A follow-on workshop facilitated by Columbia Climate School and TNC discussed “Accelerating Nature-based Solutions in the Greater Bay Area (GBA Accelerator)”—including early spatial and policy analysis and an interactive conversation on shared vision, policy and research gaps, implementation challenges, capacity-building needs, and cross-border collaboration.

The next step is consolidating priority themes and carrying momentum toward a deeper Accelerator workshop during Hong Kong NbS Action Week (June 2026).
