沙田民政事務處於2013年6月成立了「沙田文化藝術推廣委員會」，以協助推廣沙田的文化藝術活動。委員會致力為沙田區居民提供更多參與文化藝術活動的機會，令社區生活更加豐富精彩。 未來，委員會計劃在社區舉辦多項舞蹈、巡遊、音樂會、話劇、文化研究，以及多場導賞和不同的音樂體驗，歡迎市民參加。
