My lunch today: HK$ 69 = €7.40 = US$8.70

Fully vegetarian = vegan, a Hong Kong workers-canteen-style eatery in Tsim Sha Tsui with ~34 seats

Open 11:00 until late -- last orders ~21:30 -- 7 days a week. They don't close in the afternoon.

HK$ 78 is approximately €8.60 or £7.50 -- making Marmite a comparatively expensive but essential food item for us expats in Hong Kong, China seeking B12.

We love the fact that, from the very early 1900s, the Marmite Food Extract Co., Ltd. regularly bought advertising in vegetarian magazines and books.

Open 6 days. Closed most Tuesdays -- unless it is a 'vegetarian day' on the local Buddhist calendar.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, 21 October, they will open, closing Wednesday 22 instead.

In Hong Kong, 'vegetarian days' refers to the lunar calendar's first and fifteenth days, a tradition influenced by Buddhism.
