啟蒙時期
1987年，一班在學、在職和待業的青年，得家長、教師、社工的支持，參與晨風健樂會的餘暇活動，學會策劃活動，組織宣傳隊伍，推廣公眾教育。

放眼世界
1992年，自資出席國際弱能人士自主自立會議，認識世界各地「People First」的領袖，初步了解自強自主、齊倡互導的運動。

立志自強
1993年出席第3屆國際「People First」會議後，立志籌備自導組織。

實踐更新
1995年11月12日，屬於我們的組織「卓新力量」終於誕生。
2006年，成為非牟利團體。
2007年，註冊為有限公司。
