has decided that starting in our 25th Year, #2526, we will have a podcast with each of our guests and publish it our YouTube Channel. Reason being, our Firesides are held under Chatham House Rule hence what is discussed remains within the room. Whilst we will continue our Firesides under Chatham House Rule, we will do a separate podcast with each of our guests, such that it benefits not just our members (who couldn’t attend) and importantly for the purpose of wider social consumption of our what our Guests had to say.

This is our first podcast of our first fireside of the Year (2026) held on 8-March with 50th Chief Justice of India, Justice DY Chandrachud. This podcast was done by our members (& also MC members), Vrishali Shekhar & Pushkar Sane .

in our Silver Jubilee Year #2526 celebrated IWD on 8-Mar in HK, over a fireside with (our guest) the 50th Chief Justice of India Dr. Dhananjaya Yashwant Chandrachud. With the theme this year for Women’s Day of , it is particularly fitting that we hosted the Justice, as his judicial legacy is deeply embedded with advancing women’s rights and gender justice. It was a very engaging discussion, all under Chatham House Rule. Apart from the Fireside, we also did a podcast with him for our YouTube Channel for the benefit for all to hear his view (as our Fireside is under Chatham House Rule) and will be released soon. The evening was MCed by Reema Shankar.

With 40% of our members & 33% of the Management Committee being females, we welcomed each of our female members that evening by presenting a rose and a small token of appreciation to celebrate IWD.

The event sponsors were ICICI Bank Hong Kong ICICI Bank & TAM Group TAM Group

The Forum held its annual marquee event, the corporate quiz, Mind Matters, on 27-September-2025. This was the 20th Year of Mind Matters and its 19th edition (missing one in 2020 due to COVID). Its been held since 2006 each year by our Couple Member and Quiz Masters Pushkar Sane & Bashuli Sane. Since 2024 they have been joined by their son Parth (a budding HK Tennis Player).

As usual it was a packed house with a lot of friendly competition and not to mention the bantering at "obvious" wrong answers!!!

This year SBI Hong Kong was the event sponsor and the prizes (Winner, 1st & 2nd Runner up) were sponsored by S&S Hospitality S&S Hospitality

Another celebration in 2026 as it will the 20th edition of Mind Matters

The Forum hosted its annual marquee event in its 8th year, Behind the Headlines, our media event on 18-May-2025.

As the preamble of the event since inception suggests, its not what the headlines says, but to go Behind the Headlines. A no-holds-bar discussion under chatham house rule to ask questions that the headlines didn't answer. This year saw the largest gathering of our members for an event, given the times we are living in and what is happening around the world.

Whilst the panelists had their own views for or against moderated by Gautam Bardoloi, the questions from audiences provided further charge to the evening. The MC for the evening was Madhuri Singh Aditya

FIPHK hosted Padma Shri Ms. Sunitha Krishnan, founder of Prajwala, that rescues & rehabilitates s*x trafficked humans, as part of FIPHK’s International Women’s Day (Month) on 15-March in Hong Kong. Prajwala has rescued and rehabilitated around 30000 women/children. As a Forum of professionals this subject is far removed from the meeting & board rooms, not to mention an uncomfortable discussion to be had. In Sunitha’s own words globally, human trafficked for s*xual exploitation is 68%. What about the rest 32%? Additionally, in her words, the fasted growing segment in Human trafficking are literate, educated and technologically capable women & man looking for job opportunities who are lured (forced labour) into the world of cyber-crime. Does this resonate with us? We have seen in the last few months, how HK citizens were rescued from forced labour, in the golden triangle and how Indian IT professionals been lured into forced labour of cybercrime in the same region in the garb of IT projects/career. Many more countries around the world are affected. With technology making the world borderless & the tools available, this is a broader Human Trafficking issue. On IWD, through the work done by Prajwala and Ms. Sunitha Krishnan, this is our effort to create an awareness that Human trafficking is no longer about Sexual exploitation but also forced labour that is manifested in cyber-crime that impacts everyone. Time to take note...

FIPHK hosted STEVE WAUGH the former Australian Cricket Captain over a fireside on 20-Feb-2025. When a cricket captain who remains one of the most recognised and respected players in the industry is “live” speaking with you, there is only admiration of his experiences and an audience that was left wanting more.

Not only did we hear from him about his early career in cricket but also his evolution to being one of the finest and his incredible journey to captaincy ! And his passion for photography.

Moderated by our member Mr. Pushkar Sane and emceed by Mr Bhasker Chatterjee, we couldn’t hold back a standing ovation to what we had seen and heard that evening, with a no holds barred discussion on “Pitchside” under Chatham House rules . "Friends of FIPHK" for the evening was HBZ (HK)

Sharing few select photos to showcase the event.
