Catch the premiere of As It Should Be at the Hong Kong Le***an & Gay Film Festival on September 5 & 14.

This 12-minute Cantonese short (with English subtitles) marks the directorial debut of Edwin Lai. It stars singer-songwriter JOYA in her screen acting debut, who also co-developed the story and co-wrote the film’s evocative theme song.

The Story:
During a Lunar New Year reunion dinner in Hong Kong, Megan returns home from overseas. Surrounded by familiar traditions, crowded conversations and the warmth of family, she quietly carries a truth she has never found the words to say.
