On 2 November 2025 (Sun), we visited the BBQ event organized by the Nepalese community, Danda Gaule, at Kam Shan Country Park and hosted our pop-up self-care Art Jam, partly sponsored by the SSP SWD. We had a wonderful time with the kids and the community—sharing positive vibes and reminding everyone about their sources of happiness. It was especially heartwarming to see the children enjoying their drawing time and interacting with their parents through art. Throughout this autumn, until late January 2026, we’ll continue mobilizing around the SSP district to promote self-care messages. We hope to see you at the next pop-up event!

It’s always important for social work students to receive cultural sensitivity training to raise their awareness and contribute to building an inclusive society. We are truly blessed to have another opportunity this year to facilitate intercultural dialogue and exchange on 21 October 2025 (Tue). Bridging gaps is never an easy task, but we are delighted to share our stories in pursuit of inclusivity and community well-being. Great job to our amazing volunteer team!!

Thanks again to SSP SWD's special funding, which partially sponsored our Self-care Art Jam in the community to promote well-being. We kick-started this funding year's pop-up art jam series on 18 Oct 2025 (Sat) in the Cheung Sha Wan Promenade. Thanks so much to all the volunteers and participants in co-creating this activity, allowing us to promote the concept of well-being chat, and creating a space for everyone to reflect on their sources of happiness. It’s so great to see people having fun at our mini Art Jam booth and connecting with one another. We hope to reach out to different districts in the future, and we definitely need your support! Next week, we will have another pop-up art jam in another area in the SSP District. Come join us!!

On 28 Jun 2025 (Sat), we participated in the "Reflections on Gender Issues in Hong Kong's Multicultural Social Work" sharing session organized by the "Platform on Gender Perspective in Social Work Practice". We had a fruitful discussion and ideas exchange with the participants and acknowledged the slow progress of gender equity in the non Chinese community in HK. Our founder shared the ideas of how gender equity is related to spiritual well-being, how we could break the norms and labels and support individuals to know who they really are, understand their needs, enabling authentic self expression and have freedom to choose what they want to do without being influenced by the imbalance of power dynamics... We need more cultural and gender sensitivity in the social service field to bring changes, making connections and participating in these kinds of ideas exchange platforms is beneficial to amplify our voices. Ultimately, gender equity is about human dignity and a matter of respect.

On 17 June 2025 (Tue), our founder had a pleasant engagement and meaningful exchange with a group of youth workers from Taiwan (through the Pax Romana - International Movement of Catholic Students - Asia Pacific network), and also hold a brief experiential workshop. Our founder shared the experience of self-care messages promotuon and how visual art strategies can be powerful tools in raising community awareness about spiritual well-being. We emphasized the importance of inviting young people to explore inner peace through self-dialogue, facilitated by creative visual art activities. Our founder also invited our guests to write words of encouragement on self-care postcards and send them to themselves, inviting them to taste a small yet impactful gesture to nurture self-compassion. Hope our little self-care workshop could give some inspiration to our guests, and look forward to some day in the future our self-care postcards can be made available for purchase in Taiwan!!
