✨From 3–6 April, Snowmelt — the fourth chapter of the Happy Zoo series 🩵🏔️
— opens at WestK FunFest 2026 as a free digital art journey.

Interactive stations.
A mixed‑reality performance glimpse.
A space to wander, to play, to feel the pulse of nature again.

✨Then, from 10–12 April, the mountain shifts. 🐒🐺🦅🐐🐆
In a roaming immersive theatre experience, a young snub‑nosed monkey loses its way in the snow — encountering wolves, vultures, mountain tahr and the elusive snow leopard.

Each survives differently.
Each carries its own kind of superpower.

As you move freely through the space, the story moves with you — becoming a quiet reflection on resilience, adaptation, and coexistence.

When the world keeps changing,
how do we find our way?

Perhaps we are stronger than we think.
Perhaps survival begins with learning to live together.

“Today Is Your Lucky Day!” 🐦💩✨
In some cultures, being hit by bird p**p is a sign of good luck.

This playful installation flips an everyday annoyance into a moment of chance. Like a small blessing from the sky, a lucky few receive a “dropping” — and an invitation to rethink what it means to share the city with birds.

Flip the coin.
See the mess differently.
Inside, a tiny message of wisdom awaits.
Laugh at the surprise.
Embrace the unexpected.
Remember: nature still lives here.
Because birds — and yes, even their p**p — are part of what makes a city feel alive 🍀🐦

「今日係你嘅幸運日！」🐦💩✨
在某些文化中，被鳥屎擊中，是一種祝福。
這件趣味裝置，把日常的困擾，翻轉成一場關於「幸運」的想像。像是從天而降的小小祝福，幸運的人會收到一份「禮物」—— 也收到一次重新看待城市與鳥類共存的機會。

換個角度看待這份「不便」。
裡面，藏著一則小小的智慧訊息。
笑一笑，享受驚喜，
別忘了：自然，仍然住在城市裡。
因為鳥兒，包括牠們留下的小痕跡，

“If animals could talk…” 🦦
What would our city sound like?
Welcome to Interspecies Council — an immersive artwork imagining a city where every species has a seat at the table. Step into the council chamber, where voices big and small, feathered and furry, rise together. Here, plants and animals across Hong Kong speak of their needs, challenges, and lived realities — voices too often unheard in urban life.

Created by 38 Grade 8 students from The Harbour School - The Grove ( ), this project blends research and artistic expression under the guidance of professional artists, with support from AREbyNPV () and wildlife advisors Outdoor Wildlife Learning Hong Kong ().

By wearing headpieces of their wild neighbours, students turn learning into advocacy.
A simple question echoes through the chamber:

如果動物能夠說話，城市會變成什麼模樣？

《共生議事廳》是 ALAN 於 2025 年委約的沉浸式藝術作品，邀請觀眾想像一個讓不同物種都能被聽見的城市。在這個議事空間中，每一個聲音—— 無論大小、無論是羽毛、毛茸茸，還是滑嘟嘟——都有位置。來自香港的多個物種齊聚一堂，分享牠們在城市生活中的需求與挑戰，為那些常被忽略的「無聲鄰居」發聲。

這個作品由 38 位港灣學校小學部 The Harbour School - The Grove () 的八年級學生 傾力打造，在專業藝術家指導下，結合研究與創作，並獲 AREbyNPV() 及 香港戶外生態教育協會() 支持完成。

學生們戴上頭套、代入角色，嘗試站在動物的角度發言。這件藝術品不只是想像，而是一個提問：當動物終於有機會說話，我們是否準備好聆聽？ 🦉✨

The making of Interspecies Council 🐾
Interspecies Council is a community artwork bringing together 38 Grade 8 students from The Harbour School, blending research and artistic practice to explore the lives of urban wildlife in Hong Kong—and the challenges they face.

📸 Photo 1-3｜Field Trip
Guided by Outdoor Wildlife Learning Hong Kong ( ), students explored Aberdeen Country Park—observing wildlife in their natural habitats. The project began with experience and attention, not imagination.

📸 Photo 4｜Talks
Understanding reality matters. Animal concern group AREbyNPV ( ) shared first‑hand insights into the pressures facing urban wildlife today.

📸 Photo 5-7｜Animal Headpiece Making
To tell their stories, students had to become them. Through close observation, they created 11 animal headpieces representing different species, guided by theatre puppeteer and educator Yip Wai Bun (), alongside theatrical prop artists—transforming research into embodiment.

With guidance from artist tutor Caro Chan ), students learned to speak clearly and confidently—giving voice to non‑human perspectives at the Interspecies Council.

《共生議事廳》是一個社區藝術創作，集合 香港海港學校 38 位中二學生，用研究＋藝術，一起走進香港城市野生動物的世界。

跟著香港戶外生態教育協會（） 走進香港仔郊野公園，近距離觀察野生動物的生活。先看、先聽、先感受，創作從經驗開始，不靠想像。

📸 圖 4｜聽牠們的故事 🐾💬
城市生活不容易。動物關注組織 AREbyNPV（） 分享城市野生動物面對的真實挑戰，
讓學生知道——問題真的存在。

要說牠們的故事，就先成為牠們！在奇想偶戲劇團 藝術家 葉偉彬（） 及舞台道具藝術家指導下，學生製作 11 款動物頭飾，從觀察到動手，一步步走進不同物種的身體與視角。

“Who’s really out of line?!”
No one dreams of winning the bird‑poo jackpot 🐦💩
Toilet Training is a video game by Hong Kong tech‑art collective , playfully poking fun at the absurd idea that wild animals should be trained to follow human rules.

Through satire and interaction, the game flips a familiar frustration into a bigger question:
When animals don’t behave like us,
are they the problem — or are our expectations off?
Maybe it’s time to reverse the logic.

Instead of “training” wildlife,
what if we designed cities with more imagination —
making space for coexistence, not control? 🎮🐦✨

「到底是誰越界了？」
我們明白，「中頭獎」真的很煩人🐦💩
《如廁訓練》由香港科技藝術團隊 創作的互動遊戲，用幽默諷刺的方式，嘲諷「野生動物也該被訓練守人類規則」這個荒謬想法。

透過遊戲與笑點，作品把日常的不爽感翻轉成一個問題：
當動物不按我們的規矩行事，到底是牠們「越界」，
還是我們的期待出了問題？

也許，是時候反過來想了。
與其訓練自然，
不如重新想像城市與建築——
為共存留空間，而不是為控制而設計。 🎮🐦✨
