(Active Recovery)!

Balance your festive indulgence with active recovery this Mid-Autumn Festival!

Sports Therapists Association of HK recommends these three essential tips to keep your body moving, pain-free, and fully charged during the holidays:

1. Active Walking After Mooncakes: Enjoying rich treats is part of the tradition. Help your digestion and circulation by taking a light 15-to-20-minute walk after your meal while moon-gazing.

2. The "Teapot" Spine Stretch: Extended sitting during family gatherings can stiffen your lower back. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, place one hand on your hip, and gently reach the other arm over your head to stretch your sides. Hold for 20 seconds on each side.

3. Hydrate to Flush and Recover: Traditional mooncakes and savory festive dinners can be high in sodium, leading to fluid retention and muscle tightness. Counteract this by matching your tea intake with plenty of fresh water to keep your muscles supple.

Wishing you a healthy, active, and rejuvenating Mid-Autumn Festival! 🥮💪
