【HKBU climbs to 216th in QS World University Rankings 2027 ⬆️】

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has risen from 244th last year to 216th in the newly released QS World University Rankings 2027. The steady upward momentum of the University’s international rankings in recent years demonstrates the recognition of the University’s commitment to improving its teaching, learning and research performance. In particular, for the indicator measuring a university’s attractiveness to International Students, HKBU is ranked 26th globally and 2nd among universities in Hong Kong. This further highlights that international students at HKBU are able to enjoy a diverse and enriching campus life and learning experience.

In recent years, HKBU continued to demonstrate robust performance in a number of similar international university rankings. Among these rankings, HKBU has risen to 40th place in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026; ascended to 69th place in the THE Impact Rankings 2025, while maintaining its second-place global standing in the United Nations’ “SDG 4: Quality Education” for two consecutive years; and ranked 52nd globally in the THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026. These rankings highlight HKBU’s endeavours to consistently strengthen its transdisciplinary teaching, learning, and research capabilities in recent years, as well as its achievements in integrating creative culture, technological applications and diverse learning experiences, which have earned international recognition.

HKBU will take the ranking results released by different organisations around the world as a reference in its ongoing efforts to elevate its education and research standards. At the same time, the University will continue to nurture future-shaping talents for the global community by promoting transdisciplinary education, and further enhance students’ learning experience through HKBU’s quality education.

【浸大於「QS世界大學排名2027」升至全球第216位 ⬆️】

香港浸會大學（浸大）在最新公布的「QS世界大學排名2027」中，由去年的244位上升至216位。浸大近年的國際排名持續上升，印證大學致力提升教學與研究的表現獲得肯定。當中衡量大學對國際學生吸引力的指標，浸大位列全球第26位、在全港大學排名第二位，進一步反映國際學生在浸大能夠獲得多元化的校園生活和學習體驗。

浸大近年在多個其他同類大學排名的表現穩步向上，包括在「2026年度泰晤士高等教育亞洲大學排名」上升至第40位；於「2025年度泰晤士高等教育大學影響力排名」上升至第69位，更連續兩年在聯合國可持續發展目標的「優質教育」一項位列全球第二；及於「2026年泰晤士高等教育跨學科科學排名」中名列全球第52位。排名結果反映浸大不斷強化其跨學科教學與研究能力，結合創意文化、科技應用與多元化學習體驗，成績獲得國際肯定。

【浸大獲眾富基金會捐贈港幣1,000萬元誌慶創校70周年　推動轉化醫學研究】
#浸大 獲眾富基金會有限公司（眾富基金會）創辦人趙國雄教授及該會主席趙譚惠冰女士慷慨捐贈港幣1,000萬元，以祝賀浸大創校70周年。當中700萬元捐款將支持浸大新成立的前沿轉化醫學研究院的尖端科研項目，300萬元將撥予浸大持續教育學院領導、關顧香港專上學生心理健康的研究項。

浸大校董會暨諮議會主席及香港浸會大學基金董事局主席黃英豪博士對眾富基金會的慷慨捐助致以衷心感謝。他讚揚趙國雄教授一直以來的貢獻，並形容趙教授是浸大傑出校友，也是業界翹楚和年青人的楷模。他表示：「趙教授的慷慨捐贈充分彰顯他對母校的深厚情誼，以及回饋社會的熱忱。這份善舉將為新成立的前沿轉化醫學研究院注入強大動力，加速醫學創新轉化為實際應用，同時關顧青少年心理健康，為廣大社群帶來深遠裨益。」

浸大前沿轉化醫學研究院聚焦醫療器械、診斷、疫苗、綜合醫學、中醫藥和其他生物醫學科學研究的創新和轉化，以促進新發現。

由浸大持續教育學院領導的「以體育與遊戲為切入點：預防自殺與促進香港專上學生的心理健康」研究項目，將於本港的自資專上院校推行，以應對青少年自殺率上升及心理健康惡化等迫切的社會議題。

眾富基金會於2007年由趙國雄教授伉儷成立，為其家族慈善基金， 致力推動教育及慈善項目。現任長江實業集團有限公司執行董事的趙教授，多年來透過眾富基金會捐助浸大各領域的發展，積極回饋母校。

【HKBU receives HK$10 million from Pecan Foundation to celebrate its 70th anniversary and advance translational medical research】
has received a generous donation of HK$10 million from Professor Justin Chiu Kwok Hung, Founder, and Mrs. Rita Chiu, Chairman of Pecan Foundation Limited in celebration of the University’s 70th anniversary. Of the total amount, HK$7 million will be designated to support the cutting-edge research projects of HKBU’s newly established Frontier Translational Medical Research Institute, while HK$3 million will be allocated to a research project focused on the mental well-being of Hong Kong tertiary students led by HKBU’s School of Continuing Education.

Dr. Kennedy Wong, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Pecan Foundation’s generous support. He commended Professor Justin Chiu for his ongoing dedication, describing Professor Chiu as a distinguished alumnus, an exceptional industry leader and an inspiration to young people. “This significant gift reflects Professor Chiu’s deep-rooted affection for his alma mater and his unwavering commitment to societal well-being,” Dr. Wong remarked. “His benevolence will provide vital momentum to the newly established Frontier Translational Medical Research Institute, accelerating the translation of medical research into practical applications. Equally important, this gift will help address youth mental health issues, bringing lasting benefits to the wider community.”

The HKBU Frontier Translational Medical Research Institute drives promising discoveries by focusing on innovations and translational research in medical devices, diagnostics, vaccines, integrative medicine, Chinese medicine and other biomedical sciences.

The research project, titled “Beyond Sports and Games: Preventing Su***de and Promoting Mental Well-Being of Hong Kong Tertiary Students”, led by HKBU’s School of Continuing Education, will be implemented at self-financing tertiary institutions across Hong Kong to address the pressing societal issues facing young adults.

Established in 2007 by Professor and Mrs. Chiu as a family charitable foundation, the Pecan Foundation is dedicated to advancing educational and philanthropic causes. Professor Chiu is currently the Executive Director of CK Asset Holdings Limited and he has consistently given back to his alma mater through the Pecan Foundation.

【香港太平紳士協會代表團到訪香港中醫醫院】
香港中醫醫院（中醫院）於2026年6月3日接待香港太平紳士協會（協會）代表團到訪。是次活動由香港浸會大學基金企業家委員會聯席主席及協會會長嚴玉麟博士，SBS，BBS，JP促成，旨在向協會成員深入介紹中醫院的先進設施、創新臨床服務，以及其在本港中醫藥發展的先導角色。

中醫院營運機構董事局主席王桂壎先生，SBS，JP、浸大校長衞炳江教授，JP、以及浸大協理副校長（臨床中醫藥）兼中醫院行政總監卞兆祥教授，MH等親自接待。浸大發展事務處總監兼浸大基金秘書長陳鄭惠蘭女士亦到場熱烈歡迎代表團。

是次導賞讓嘉賓更深入了解中醫院如何糅合中醫藥傳統智慧與現代醫療科技，提供全面的醫療保健服務。參觀重點包括全自動中藥煎藥系統、創新「一站式」臨床模式、六大中醫專科及十二個特色疾病項目。這些設計讓病人能於同一地點完成診斷、治療及跟進，提升就醫體驗。

【Delegation from Hong Kong Justice of the Peace Association visits Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong】
The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) received a delegation from the Hong Kong Justice of the Peace Association (the Association) on 3 June 2026. The visit, facilitated by Dr. Stanley Yim, SBS, BBS, JP, Co-Chairman of the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and President of the Association, provided an in-depth overview of CMHHK’s state-of-the-art facilities, innovative clinical services, and its pioneering role in the development of Chinese medicine in Hong Kong.

The delegation was warmly received by senior representatives from HKBU and CMHHK management, including Mr. Huen Wong, SBS, JP, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the CMHHK Operator; Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU; and Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, MH, Associate Vice-President (Clinical Chinese Medicine) of HKBU and Hospital Chief Executive of CMHHK. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, also extended her warm welcome to the delegation.

During the tour, guests gained a better understanding of how CMHHK integrates the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine with modern medical technology to provide comprehensive healthcare services. Highlights included the fully automated Chinese Medicines Decoction System, the innovative one-stop clinical model, and the six major Chinese medicine specialities and 12 special disease programmes. These unique features allow patients to receive diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care in a single location, significantly enhancing their experience.

【香港浸會大學冠名教授席2026│黃乾亨基金中醫藥教授—老年醫學──彭波教授】
「不少老年人多病纏身，多重用藥，傳統專科分科治療的模式難以全面照顧老年患者的整體需求。中醫宏觀的整體理念，正好可以在老年醫學領域大展身手。」

彭波教授是知名中醫臨床專家和中醫學者，現為 #浸大 中醫藥學院中醫臨床教授。彭教授擁有30多年中醫臨床、教學及科研經驗，尤擅長老年病及內科疑難雜症之診治。

新冠疫情期間，彭教授親身參與傳染病的前線救治工作，與其他專家合力制定《香港新型冠狀病毒感染中醫診療方案》及建立浸大抗疫遠程醫療中心，更出版《2019冠狀病毒病醫案選粹》，為中醫抗疫留下寶貴參考。

【HKBU Endowed Professorships 2026 | Professor Peng Bo, Philip K.H. Wong Foundation Endowed Professor in Chinese Medicine - Geriatric Medicine】⠀
“Many seniors suffer from multiple chronic conditions and polypharmacy. The traditional model of specialised, compartmentalised treatment often fails to meet these patients’ holistic needs. TCM’s macro-level, integrative approach, by contrast, is particularly well-suited to the field of geriatric medicine.”

Professor Peng Bo, a renowned clinical expert in Chinese medicine, and currently serves as Professor of Practice at the School of Chinese Medicine of .

With more than three decades of experience in the clinical practice, teaching, and research of Chinese medicine, Professor Peng has developed a particular expertise in geriatric medicine and complex internal disorders.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Professor Peng was personally involved in frontline treatment and collaborated with other experts to formulate the “Hong Kong Novel Coronavirus Infection Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Plan”. He also played a key role in establishing HKBU's telemedicine centre to offer remote medical consultation services. Furthermore, he published the monograph “Selected Medical Cases of COVID-19”, providing an invaluable reference for using Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of epidemics.

浸大中醫藥學院新突破🔆冀為治療結直腸癌帶來曙光！

結直腸癌係全球最常見癌症之一，由於腫瘤對現有標靶藥會產生抗藥性，導致治療困難。

王凱亮教授團隊最近獲得創新科技署撥款140萬港元，開發「同類首創」嘅結直腸癌標靶藥物！團隊發現，一種叫「4-膽甾烯-3-酮」（「4C3」）嘅腸道菌群代謝物，可以同時抑制引致病情惡化嘅兩大元兇：EGFR及突變型KRAS。這項發現有望解決現有藥物嘅抗藥性問題。

團隊將會開發膽甾烯酮類嘅『同類首創』抗結直腸癌藥物，期望可以為結直腸癌患者帶嚟曙光！

學院將全力支持王教授嘅後續研究，並會持續推動轉化醫學嘅發展。

【浸大舉行「香港浸會大學沙田福群中醫診所」開幕典禮　答謝物業捐贈】
#浸大 在2026年6月9日舉行「香港浸會大學沙田福群中醫診所」開幕典禮，以答謝三豐（岑氏）投資有限公司慷慨捐贈沙田一物業予浸大，讓中醫藥學院設立新的中醫藥診所，為新界區巿民提供優質的中醫服務。

開幕典禮的主禮嘉賓包括岑氏家族代表岑麗萍女士、岑志安先生、岑譚允晴女士及霍培熾先生；以及浸大校長衞炳江教授，JP、副校長（研究及拓展）暨研究院院長呂愛平教授、行政副校長暨秘書長鄒靄雲女士、中醫藥學院院長李敏教授，以及中醫藥學院臨床部主任孫鋒教授。其他出席嘉賓包括浸大發展事務處總監兼香港浸會大學基金秘書長陳鄭惠蘭女士及中醫藥學院臨床部常務副主任楊君軍教授。

【HKBU holds opening ceremony for Hong Kong Baptist University Shatin F**k Kwan Chinese Medicine Clinic in appreciation of property donation】
held the opening ceremony of the “HKBU Shatin F**k Kwan Chinese Medicine Clinic” on 9 June 2026 to express its sincere gratitude to Shum’s Investment Limited for their generous donation of a property in Sha Tin to HKBU. This donation enabled the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) to establish a new Chinese medicine clinic, providing residents of the New Territories with quality Chinese medicine services.

Officiating guests at the opening ceremony included Ms. Sham Lai Ping; Mr. Shum Chee On; Mrs. Shum Tam Wan Ching; and Mr. F**k Pui Chi, members of the Shum family; along with Professor Alex Wai, JP, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) cm Dean of the Graduate School; Ms. Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Li Min, Dean of SCM; and Professor Sun Feng, Director of the Clinical Division of SCM at HKBU. Other guests included Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; and Professor Yang Junjun, Executive Associate Director of the Clinical Division of SCM at HKBU.

At the ceremony, Professor Wai expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Shum’s Investment Limited for its contribution, emphasising that this donation not only promotes the development of local healthcare services but also fully embodies the spirit of caring for society and giving back to the community. He added that the donation will further assist SCM in expanding its network of Chinese medicine clinics, providing convenient Chinese medicine services to residents of Sha Tin and the New Territories East, while also offering medical concessions to vulnerable groups, thereby benefitting the wider public. This gesture aptly reflects the profound significance of the clinic’s name, “F**k Kwan”, which translates to “blessing the community”.

【浸大獲沈林金珠女士再度捐資　成立人工智能獎學金】
#浸大 最近喜獲沈林金珠女士再度慷慨捐資港幣50萬元成立永久基金，用以設立「沈林金珠人工智能獎學金」，是本校首個與人工智能學習相關的獎學金。

由2026-2027學年起，每年向兩名於浸大理學院計算機科學系「人工智能專修」本科學位中，修讀「COMP4006 Information Technology Professional Practices（資訊科技專業實踐）」一科並表現卓越的三年級或四年級全日制本地生頒發港幣10,000元資助，以培養具備堅實技術基礎與專業倫理素養的人才，期望學生能善用人工智能技術，重視科技發展中的道德責任，為社會帶來正面影響。

沈林金珠女士與家人一直鼎力支持浸大。沈太於過去八年期間，先後五次捐資設立獎助學金，鼓勵新生代學子多元發展，拓闊視野，受惠學生人數至今已逾40人。沈太現為香港浸會大學基金榮譽主席。

【HKBU receives further donation from Mrs. Shum Lam Kam Chu to set up artificial intelligence scholarship】
recently received another generous donation of HK$500,000 from Mrs. Shum Lam Kam Chu to set up an endowment fund for the establishment of the “Shum Lam Kam Chu Artificial Intelligence Scholarship”. This is the University’s first scholarship specifically related to the study of artificial intelligence (AI).

Starting in the academic year 2026-2027, two scholarships of HK$10,000 each will be awarded annually to two high-achieving, full-time local students. They will be in their final or penultimate year of study in the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence Concentration and have demonstrated excellence in the course “COMP4006 Information Technology Professional Practices”. By recognising students who possess both a solid technical foundation and a keen sense of professional ethics, this scholarship seeks to inspire a new generation of talent to utilise AI for the greater good, uphold moral responsibilities in technological advancement, and contribute positively to society.

Mrs. Shum and her family are staunch supporters of HKBU. Over the past eight years, Mrs. Shum has made five donations to establish multiple scholarships and bursaries, fostering the all-round development and broadening the horizons of the younger generation. To date, more than 40 students have benefitted from her philanthropy. Mrs. Shum is now recognised as Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation.

【浸大再獲邵氏影城捐資支持電影獎學金】
#浸大 近月再獲邵氏影城慷慨捐資港幣20萬元，用以延續「邵氏影城獎學金」，嘉許創意藝術學院電影學院表現卓越的應屆畢業生。

在2025-2026學年，該獎學金將頒發六個獎學金，每個金額為港幣30,000元，分別授予「傳理學學士—電影主修—電影電視專修課程」及「電影電視與數碼媒體藝術（製作）碩士課程」各三名畢業作品得分最高的學生導演。其中表現最傑出者，更將額外獲得港幣20,000元的「特優獎學金」。

「邵氏影城獎學金」於2024年設立，旨在鼓勵浸大電影學院的學子積極投入電影藝術創作，日後在影壇發熱發亮。

【HKBU receives continued support from Shaw Studios for film scholarship】
has recently received another generous donation of HK$200,000 from Shaw Studios to renew the “Shaw Studios Scholarship”. The Scholarship recognises outstanding graduating students from the Academy of Film in the School of Creative Arts.

For the academic year 2025-2026, six scholarships of HK$30,000 each will be awarded based on final-year project scores: three to the top-performing student directors from the Bachelor of Communication (Honours) in Film (Film and Television Concentration) programme and three from the Master of Fine Arts in Film, Television and Digital Media programme. Among these recipients, the most exceptional candidate will receive an additional “Best of the Best Award” of HK$20,000.

Established in 2024, the “Shaw Studios Scholarship” aims to encourage students at the Academy of Film to actively engage in film art creation, empowering them to shine in the future film industry.
