Meet the cast behind Part 5 — Meet Sophie 🌟

Sophie, an HKU student living with Autism Spectrum, shares how lending her voice to the animation and participating in Invisible Differences — became a major personal breakthrough.

Through the film, she reflects on her journey toward self‑acceptance and growth. She speaks candidly about her struggles studying and navigating high‑pressure social situations, and how finding her voice has empowered her.

📣 We’re honoured to be featured in Tatler Asia.

Invisible Differences is helping reshape how neurodiversity is understood in Hong Kong.

For too long, neurodivergent stories have been told through the lens of caregiving. This film shifts the narrative — centering neurodivergent voices, identity, and lived experience, including non‑speaking individuals who communicate through AAC.

Because “representation changes perception.”
And “storytelling creates empathy — and empathy creates action.”

Through hand‑drawn animation based on Arthur Fujita’s artwork and powerful real-life interviews, we’re bringing these stories to the screen — authentically and by the community, for the community.

We need your support to complete this 10‑minute animated short.

長久以來，神經多樣性族群的故事多半是透過照顧者的角度來講述。本片將扭轉這種敘事方式——以神經多樣性族群的聲音、身分認同與親身經歷為核心，當中包括透過AAC（輔助與替代溝通系統）表達的非言語人士。
因為「有了真實的代表，才能改變認知。」

而「說故事能帶來同理心——同理心能驅動行動。」

本片以手繪動畫呈現，靈感來自 Arthur Fujita 的藝術創作，並結合深刻的真實訪談——由社群參與、為社群發聲，將這些故事如實搬上螢幕。
