Did you know 87% of cleaners suffer from at least one body part strain 🩼😥 and 40% of them endure pain while working? 😰

Not only are long working hours and pushing rubbish carts in busy roads a challenge ⚠️, but language barriers and lack of knowledge on resources 🤔📚 makes it even more difficult for Ethnically Diverse cleaners to navigate the Hong Kong healthcare system.

Luckily, Hong Kong has community resources 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ e.g Caritas Community Centres and District Health Centres who can provide health information and are equipped with Ethically Diverse staff to help ED cleaners. 🩺❤️‍🩹

It is time to celebrate one of Hong Kong’s loudest, fastest, and most exciting traditions — the Dragon Boat Festival (Tuen Ng Festival) ! Get ready for a day packed with high-energy drumbeats, team spirit, and lots of summer fun! ☀️🥳

📜 Quick Fun Fact!

This awesome festival is over 2,000 years old! It honors Qu Yuan, a famous poet from ancient China. Legend says that locals try to save him, beating drums to scare away fish. Today, that heroic rescue mission has turned into the epic races we watch every summer! 🚣‍♂️💥

🎉 How We Celebrate Today:

🛶Dragon Boat Racing: Cheering for teams paddling furiously to the sound of roaring drums! 🥁🔥

👍🏾Eating Rice Dumpling : Munching on delicious, pyramid-shaped sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. Yummy!
