🌏✨ Reflecting on Resilience & Symbiosis ✨🌏
Today, EEF hosted the Sharing Session cm Press Conference for our 2026 Western Sichuan "Resilience & Symbiosis" Field Study Camp, celebrating seven days of learning across Chengdu and the western Sichuan plateau. 🏔️

Sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club and jointly organised by EEF and Chengdu University of Information Technology (CUIT), the Camp engaged around 50 teachers and students from five secondary schools in Hong Kong and Macau. 🐼

Students from the five participating schools, together with members of the "School ESG Ambassador Programme," shared their firsthand experiences — from smart meteorology courses and emergency disaster-response drills to intangible-heritage Qiang embroidery workshops, exploring the earthquake-resistant architectural wisdom of the Qiang people. Through a study of the horse-caravan ("mabang") culture of Yanwozhai Village — covering equine behaviour, highland horse-taming techniques, and high-altitude patrols under Leave-No-Trace principles — they deepened their appreciation of the symbiotic relationship between humans, horses and nature. 💚

Our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Patricia LEE, Deputy Head of Mainland Affairs, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, for gracing the event; and to our distinguished guests: Mr. Simon CHAN Kin Fung, Assistant Director (Conservation), AFCD; The Hon Dennis LEUNG Tsz-wing and The Hon Jonathan CHAN Pok-chi, Legislative Council Members; Mr. Jack CHEUNG Ki-tang, Member of Kwun Tong District Council; Prof. Simon LEE Ming-yuen, Chair Professor of Biomedical Sciences, HK PolyU; and Associate Prof. KANG Ping, School of Atmospheric Sciences, CUIT. Dr. Joseph TSUI Yun Pui, Chairman & CEO of EEF, and Mr. Andrew TSANG, Chief ESG Development Officer, also shared the programme's next chapter. Here's to empowering the next generation of ESG changemakers! 🌱
