🚀 St. James’ Settlement Pet Care and Grooming Vocational Training 🛠️

Finding a career path that truly fits is about more than just a job – it’s about finding where you belong. We are excited to share our latest collaboration with 聖雅各福群會 St. James' Settlement (Supported Employment Training for Persons with Disabilities) for our Pet Care and Grooming Vocational Training program, helping talented SEN youth transition into the professional world of animal care. 💼

During their training and internship at .puppylounge, participants move from theory to true hands-on experience. These young trainees are busy mastering the art of the perfect blow-dry, the precision of brushing and de-shedding, and the essential care involved in bathing and hygiene checks. 🐶✨

Beyond the tools, they are learning the subtle science of canine behavior – understanding how to read and respond to a dog’s needs to ensure a calm environment. They are also building vital customer service skills, gaining the confidence to communicate effectively with pet owners. 💬🤝

Our support for these young professionals doesn’t end at graduation. We are committed to building a bridge to stable employment. We are thrilled to announce that we have already successfully completed this cohort and recruited one of the participants to join our team as a part-time staff member! 🌈🔝

尋找一條合適的職業道路，不單是為了工作，更是為了找到發揮所長的舞台。我們非常榮幸能與聖雅各福群會（殘疾人士輔助就業培訓）合作開展「寵物保姆職業生涯規劃」，協助具潛質的SEN青年正式踏入專業動物護理的領域。💼

成長的核心發生在The Puppy Lounge護理及訓練中心。實習期間，參加者將理論化為實踐：從掌握精準的吹毛技巧、細緻的梳理，到符合業界標準的沖涼與基本健康檢查。除了技術層面，這群年輕人更在深入研習狗狗的行為科學，學習讀懂毛孩的情緒以建立信任；同時培養專業的服務溝通，學習如何與寵物主人建立專業互動。💬🤝

Finding the right career path is a journey of discovery. Our Pet Care and Grooming Vocational Training empowers students from .ig to transform their love and passion for animals into a professional future! 🌟

We are proud to provide these students with hands-on experience through internship at our grooming and training center, .puppylounge. This program is a deep dive into the high-standard skills required by the industry:

🐶 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲: Mastering health essentials, including simple body checks and understanding different breeds’ personalities and traits.
✂️ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴: Practical training in bathing, professional blow-drying, brushing, ear cleaning, and full grooming techniques.
🐕 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: Learning to "speak dog" and respond to dog body language.
🤝 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞: Developing the communication skills needed to interact with pet owners and manage a professional salon environment.

學員們會於我們的護理及訓練中心The Puppy Lounge進行實習，親身掌握符合業界標準的專業技能：

When professional training meets genuine compassion, the results are truly transformative. With generous sponsorship of , our Therapy Dog Ambassador Program is officially at its halfway mark! Shatin Public School marks the fifth school we have collaborated with out of the 10 schools in this impactful initiative. 💞

After weeks of training, these dedicated students stepped into their roles as confident therapy dog handles during a recent visit to an elderly home in Kwun Tong. Accompanied by our furry ambassadors – Cha Siu, Fei Fei, and .misskaya – the students demonstrated remarkable growth. They moved beyond the classroom to “speak dog,” interpreting subtle behavioral cues to guide the residents through interactive games designed to improve physical mobility. 🐶❤️

This program creates a powerful, two-way bridge of support:

🌟 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵: it fosters deep empathy, social responsibility, and the confidence to lead in a professional setting.

真正的改變，往往源於專業訓練與真誠關懷的結合。在太古地產的鼎力贊助下，我們的「治療犬社區探訪」迎來了一個重要的里程碑 -- 沙田公立學校成為第五間合作學校，意味著這項涵蓋十間學校的共融計劃，已經順利完成了一半的旅程！

🐾👋🏻Therapy Dog Mindfulness Meet & Greet at SPCC👋🏻🐾

Exam season is no joke, but our therapy dog team stepped into St. Paul's Co-educational College (SPCC) to help keep the "big exam energy" in check. ✨

Organized by the student union , therapy dogs Bo Bo, Cooper, Fei Fei, Mia, and Willow spent two days on campus for a Mindfulness Meet & Greet. The goal was simple: give students a real reason to look up from their textbooks and take a breath.

Instead of rushing through their break, students took the time to sit quietly with Willow, share a calm moment with Cooper, or just enjoy the steady, grounding presence of .bobo, Fei Fei, and Mia. It wasn't about big excitement; it was about those small, quiet interactions – a paw on a knee or a soft head to pet – that remind us to stay present when things get overwhelming. 🐶❤️

A huge shoutout to St. Paul’s student union for prioritizing mental wellbeing and making this happen. To all students: the hard work is real, but so is the need to look after yourselves. You’ve got this, and our pups are rooting for you! 🐾💪

感謝學生會Eternora的邀請和策劃，讓治療犬Bo Bo、Cooper、Fei Fei、Mia和Willow能一連兩天來到校園舉行「治療犬減壓充電站」。我們的目標很簡單：就是希望大家能暫時從課本中抬起頭，好好放鬆一下。

Sometimes, confidence grows in quiet moments — holding a leash steady, offering a clear instruction, or taking the first step to engage with someone new. These small actions can carry big meaning, especially when young people are given space to try, learn, and trust themselves. 🦮🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️

Recently, students from Hong Kong Juvenile Care Centre stepped into the role of Therapy Dog Ambassadors. After weeks of preparation, they worked alongside therapy dogs Daisy, Jubie, and Fa Gao, bringing their training into action during an elderly home visit. 🤝🐕

Guiding the dogs and engaging with elderly residents offered students a gentle way to practice leadership and communication. Each interaction — from calm guidance to shared laughter — helped build self-assurance and a growing sense of purpose. 🌟🌿

For the elderly residents, the presence of both the therapy dogs and the young ambassadors brought warmth, and moments of genuine exchange. The experience was a reminder that companionship can bridge generations, often through simple, heartfelt interactions. 🌈🤍

Made possible through the support of , this Therapy Dog Ambassador Program continues to open doors for learning beyond the classroom, placing young people at the heart of community service.

✨🐾 Therapy Dog Ambassador Program in Action – The HKTA Ching Chung Secondary School 🐕

Thanks to the continued support of , our Therapy Dog Ambassador Program is moving forward — bringing learning beyond the classroom and into the heart of the community. 🏫💛

This time, students from @香港道教聯合會青松中學 stepped into their role as therapy dog ambassadors. After completing their preparatory training to become therapy dog handlers, they put their learning into practice during a visit to an elderly home in Shau Kei Wan, alongside therapy dogs Fa Gao, Johnny, Kero, and Ollie. 🐶🐾

For many of the students, this visit was about more than meeting the elderly — it was about learning to lead with confidence, communicating with purpose, and serving others with care. 🌟

The elderly residents welcomed the students and dogs with smiles and curiosity. Simple interactions reminded everyone present that warmth and companionship can bridge generations. 👵👴💞🐕

This program continues to be a powerful platform for students to build self-belief while contributing meaningfully to the community. With 10 schools supported through Swire Properties’ sponsorship, we are grateful to see this journey unfold, one school and one visit at a time. 🌱✨

🧘🏻‍♀️🐾 Champion REIT Therapy Dog Mindfulness Yoga ✨

Let the festivity begin! The yoga mats were rolled out, the room filled with laughter, and our therapy dogs took on a brand-new role — yoga “instructors.” 🐶🧘🏻‍♂️

Together with the wonderful volunteer team from , we hosted a joyful therapy dog yoga session for children at — one that blended movement, play, and plenty of unexpected smiles. As the children explored each pose, volunteers were right by their side offering support, while our therapy dogs Frostie, .misskaya, Kero, Shiro, Taro, and Toastie wandered around the room, occasionally standing on mats, gently “supervising,” or strolling past as if checking everyone’s form. Some even became part of the poses themselves. 😄🐾

The session felt less like a class and more like a shared moment of freedom and fun. Stretching became play, focus came naturally, and the room buzzed with curiosity and confidence as children tried, laughed, and tried again.

To end the session on a nourishing note, Champion REIT also prepared locally made honey beeswax lip balm as festive gifts — a small but thoughtful gesture that perfectly matched the warmth of the day and the season. 🍯

A sincere thank you to Champion REIT and all the volunteers who brought so much energy, care, and joy into the room. When movement, kindness, and a few furry “instructors” come together, something truly special unfolds. 🧘🏻‍♀️🐶✨

瑜伽墊一張張鋪好，笑聲在Eaton Club的教室裡此起彼落，而我們的治療犬，這天更化身成最可愛的「瑜伽導師」。🐶🧘🏻‍♂️

在冠君產業信託的支持下，一場為弱勢兒童而設的治療犬瑜伽活動溫馨登場。當孩子們嘗試不同的瑜伽動作時，義工們在旁細心協助，而治療犬Frostie，Kaya，Kero，Shiro，Taro和Toastie - 則自在地穿梭其中 — 有時靜靜站在孩子身旁，有時好奇地走到墊前，彷彿正在檢查大家的姿勢，為整個課堂添上一份自然又輕鬆的氣氛。😄🐾

活動過程中，孩子們在動作與呼吸之間慢慢放鬆下來，也在與治療犬的互動中感受到陪伴與支持。課堂不只充滿歡笑，更是一段讓身心都能稍作休息的溫柔時光。

Public Bank (Hong Kong) Therapy Dog Cookie Workshop 🍪🐶

There is something magical about the smell of cookies baking - especially when the bakers are a group of SEN children, volunteers from Public Bank, Time Auction, and four therapy dogs watching closely from the sidelines. 👩🏻‍🍳🧑🏻‍🍳💛🐾

The session began with flour-dusted fingertips, bursts of excitement, and children deciding which festive shapes to press into their dough. Some went for 🦌, some for ⛄, and others simply made whatever made them smile.

As trays filled up, the warmth in the room wasn’t just from the oven. Hathaway, Johnny, Ollie and Willow wandered quietly through the space, their steady energy created an environment where the kids could focus, try new things, and enjoy the simple rhythm of baking. 🐶🫶🏻✨

The highlight came when the cookies were finally done. One by one, the children held up their creations — beautifully imperfect and bursting with pride. Some whispered that they made an extra cookie “for the dogs,” while others could not wait to show their parents what they had accomplished. 🍪🎁😊

It was a heartwarming reminder that children rise gently through shared time, shared effort, and the reassuring comfort of having a friend (on two legs or four) nearby. ❤️🐾

聖誕氣氛愈來愈濃，我們與大眾銀行（香港）的義工團隊、Time Auction以及治療犬，一同陪伴一班SEN兒童動手烘焙曲奇。當孩子們穿上圍裙、拿起麵糰時，一段溫暖的聖誕小旅程就此展開。👩🏻‍🍳🧑🏻‍🍳💛🐾

活動一開始，小朋友的手指已沾滿麵粉，興奮地挑選自己喜歡的曲奇模具：有人選了🦌，有人選了⛄，每一下按壓都是期待。

隨着一盤盤曲奇漸漸成形，室內的暖意不只是來自焗爐的溫度。Hathaway、Johnny、Ollie 和 Willow 在孩子身邊走動，讓他們放鬆，也更投入於烘焙的節奏之中。🐶🫶🏻✨

最令人心頭一暖的時刻，是曲奇出爐後，小朋友自豪地高舉自己的作品。有孩子悄悄說：「我有整一塊俾狗狗！」也有人迫不及待地想帶回家與爸爸媽媽分享。🎁😊

The magic of Disney came alive far beyond the park! ✨

Everyone knows Disney brings joy to millions inside the park – but during Inter-company Volunteer Week, that same magic traveled beyond the gates and into the heart of our community. 🏰🧚🏻‍♀️💛

In collaboration with Time Auction, volunteers from Disney and other companies — spent a heartwarming afternoon with the residents of an elderly home in Tsuen Wan, accompanied by five of the sweetest “therapists” you could meet: therapy dogs Fei Fei, .gummm, Pongo, Silver, and Taro. 🐶💕

One of the most touching moments of the day was watching the residents not just cuddle the dogs, but actually take the lead. They eagerly learned how to give simple commands, building confidence, connection, and a wonderful sense of empowerment. It was a powerful reminder that animal-assisted intervention (AAI) brings so much more than comfort – it inspires participation, engagement, and joy. 🐾🫶🏻

Seeing the genuine smiles light up as they guided the therapy dogs felt like witnessing a real-life fairy tale unfold. 💕

⭐迪士尼義工陪同治療犬走進長者院舍🐶

原來迪士尼的魔法，也可以在社區裡發生！✨

大家都知道，迪士尼在樂園裡帶來無限歡樂 —— 但在「誇企業義工週」期間，這份魔法更走出樂園，來到社區之中，為長者帶來另一種暖心的幸福。🏰🧚🏻‍♀️💛

在Time Auction的協作下，加上來自不同公司的義工支持，迪士尼義工團隊早前走進荃灣一間安老院，與長者們一起度過了一個充滿笑聲的下午。而現場最吸睛的，莫過於我們五位超受歡迎的治療犬：Fei Fei、Gum Gum、Pongo、Silver 和 Taro！🐶💕

最窩心的畫面，是看到長者們不單止抱抱狗狗，而是主動上前參與。他們嘗試向治療犬發出簡單指令，從「sit」到「手手」，每一下互動都充滿成就感。這份投入和主動，正正體現了動物輔助介入（AAI）帶來的力量 —— 不只是陪伴，而是提升信心、參與感和連結。🐾🫶🏻

當長者們成功指揮狗狗、面上露出開心又滿足的笑容時，那一刻，就像真實版的迪士尼故事一樣動人。💕

💫🐾Promoting Mental Wellbeing at St. Joseph’s College🐾💫

At St. Joseph’s College, therapy dogs Cooper and Willow took center stage, offering students a chance to unwind and connect through the power of animal-assisted interventions (AAI). 🐾❤️

The students had the opportunity to meet our gentle companions, discovering first-hand the positive impact therapy dogs can have on emotional health. From joyful tail wags to interactive activities and calming pats, they quickly realized how therapy dogs can reduce stress, build emotional resilience, and offer a unique blend of relaxation and bonding. 🐶✨

AAI is an incredibly effective way to support mental wellbeing, creating a safe space for students to engage and decompress. Watching their faces light up as they interacted with Cooper and Willow reminded us all of the simple, yet profound joy animals bring to our lives. 🌟

治療犬Cooper與Willow早前走進聖若瑟書院，為校園注入滿滿療癒感。透過動物輔助介入服務 (AAI)，我們讓學生有機會在忙碌中放鬆心情，親身感受與動物連結帶來的正能量。🐾❤️

同學們透過與兩位溫柔毛孩的近距離接觸，體會到治療犬對情緒健康的正面影響。無論是看著牠們興奮地搖頭擺尾、透過各種活動建立默契與了解、還是僅僅靜靜地坐在一旁陪伴，都讓大家感受到壓力瞬間舒緩。這種互動不僅能幫助建立情緒韌性，更在輕鬆的氛圍中，為大家帶來一份獨特的心理慰藉。🐶✨

AAI是推動心理健康的有效方法，能營造一個自在、安全且無壓力的空間。看到同學們與Cooper和Willow互動時露出的燦爛笑容，讓我們再次感受到動物帶給人類最單純而深遠的喜悅。🌟
