Having its origin as a gospel band, Purpose Driven was launched on April, 2010,
featuring a group of friends who were musically inclined; each having interest in various string,
wind and percussion instruments thus presenting a unique sound that would soon be a brand. With a growing passion to reach the nations through the Arts, Purpose Driven welcomed
new creative forms and expanded the arms’
influence that redefined its purpose, creating
uniqueness in its ministry and catering to various cultures and preferences yet still proclaiming
one Gospel. The talents of each member are strategically harnessed to produce divine
excellence in ministry. As ambassadors of Jesus Christ, the ministries function on the principle stated in 1 Cor. 9:26-27
(NIV) “Therefore I do not run like a man aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No
I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself
will not be disqualified for the prize.” It is with this imprinted on the hearts of our members
that we aim to minister the gospel through prophetic and contemporary worship, prophetic
dances, poetry, theatrical arts, puppetry and more importantly our lifestyles. With the essential
discipline of prayer, bible study, worship and consistent harnessing of our gifting, we are
equipping ourselves to run with compassion and stamina in pursuit of fulfilling the call of God. God has entrusted us greatly and with obedience to Him and to fulfill the great commission
we have ministered throughout Guyana and parts of the Caribbean at events such as Easter
Jam 2k10(Guyana), Power To change Worship Concert ft. Brad & Rebekah (USA), Digicel Flow
concert ft. Dj Nicholas (Jamaica), Elasha Spring Fest 2k11 (Jamaica) just to name a few. Driven by God’s purpose for our lives, we endeavour through the wisdom of God and the
enabling of the Holy Spirit to bring people to the place of accepting as Lord and Saviour, Jesus
Christ, and embracing their purpose on Earth for the advancement of the Kingdom of God
through their gifts and talents.
