The EU Chamber of Commerce Guyana is pleased to have participated in the EBO Worldwide Network Annual Conference, held from 1–5 June 2026 at the Albert Borschette Congress Center in Brussels, Belgium.
This important annual gathering brought together representatives of European Business Organisations from across the globe, alongside senior officials from the European Commission and key private sector partners, including DG INTPA, DG Trade, DG Energy, DG GROW, Business Europe, Eurochambers, and the Enterprise Europe Network.
This year, 54 of the 59 member countries were represented, highlighting the strength, diversity, and growing influence of the EBO Worldwide Network in fostering international business cooperation and economic partnerships.
Throughout the week, delegates engaged in meaningful discussions on a range of strategic priorities, including international trade and investment, supply chain resilience and diversification, clean energy transition, critical raw materials, innovation, competitiveness, regulatory simplification, and emerging European legislation such as the Industrial Acceleration Act. These initiatives are expected to play a significant role in strengthening Europe’s industrial base, accelerating decarbonisation efforts, and enhancing the security of strategic supply chains.
For the Americas and Caribbean region, valuable exchanges were also held with DG Trade representatives and COLEAD, focusing on regional priorities, opportunities for collaboration, market access, sustainable development, and the challenges facing businesses across our economies.
As Guyana continues to deepen its engagement with the European Union and strengthen economic ties with Europe, the EU Chamber of Commerce Guyana remains committed to supporting trade, investment, knowledge sharing, and business partnerships that create sustainable growth and mutual prosperity.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the European Commission, particularly the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), for its continued support of the EBO Worldwide Network and its mission to strengthen the global European business community.
