The High Commission of Canada will be celebrating the International Day of the Girl by giving one young lady the opportunity to be the High Commissioner for a Day!

To get a chance at this amazing opportunity, send us a one-minute video on the topic below:

Name someone (other than a family member) who has had an impact on your understanding of the rights of women and girls, and explain how.

Requirements to Participate:
βœ… The video competition is open to girls ages 15 to 20 years old
βœ… The video must be between 45 - 60 seconds long. Submissions will be disqualified if they do not meet this criterion.
βœ… You must be a Guyanese citizen and present in Guyana to participate
βœ… The video must be submitted by email to [email protected] by midnight on September 26th.

In the email, please indicate your cellphone number, name and age.

Note: The winner will serve as High Commissioner for the Day on the 9th October, 2025.
