Association of Women Entrepreneurs

Association of Women Entrepreneurs Strengthening women-owned businesses through collaboration, training, funding, and initiatives. Women-owned businesses are mostly formed out of necessity.

The necessity to meet the needs of their families, to establish who they are, to cater to a need in their communities and sometimes in their own lives

The founders of the Association for Women Entrepreneurs formed this alliance because they
felt that women were underserved and underrepresented. There is a real need to propel
the efforts of women in business, to help them become established, flour

ishing, and viable
entities that can serve their communities and countries well. By building a database of suppliers and buyers, we will see a change in the struggle for
women-owned businesses to survive. The eventual introduction of a fund where
women can access money to complete projects, with low collateral and interest
rates, is also desperately needed to change the culture of how women do business. As a body, we need the support of various stakeholders and institutions, especially the government. We need corporations to especially recognize the importance of women entrepreneurs and the contribution they make, and how they in turn can make a difference through purposeful purchasing.
